About the job
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Graduation from an approved school of Radiologic Technology is required.
- A New York State Radiologic Technologist license is required; a temporary license must be obtained before the start date, and the full license must be obtained within six months of hire.
- Certification in Radiography from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists is required, along with maintaining continuing education credits under American Registry of Radiologic Technologists requirements.
- Registration with the 1199 Job Security Fund is required.
- An exam date must be provided.
- Operate advanced imaging equipment to produce radiographs and computer images under the guidance of a radiologist and department supervisor.
- Help diagnose rare and complex conditions as part of the clinical team.
- Previous experience as an X-Ray Technologist in a hospital setting.
