About the job

Requirements
  • 3–5 years of RF hardware design experience on production wireless hardware.
  • Strong RF fundamentals, including transmission lines, impedance matching, S-parameters, and signal integrity.
  • Experience with electromagnetic simulation using HFSS, CST, or equivalent tools.
  • Hands-on RF measurement experience using a vector network analyzer, including S-parameter and pattern or gain measurement.
  • PCB-level RF design experience, including stack-up, controlled impedance, RF routing, and isolation.
  • Sub-GHz or ISM band experience.
Responsibilities
  • Model patch, array, and air-gap antennas in HFSS or CST, taking designs from simulation through fabrication, measurement, and qualification.
  • Design matching networks, harmonic filtering, and power amplifier/low-noise amplifier chains for sub-GHz and Wi-Fi radios.
  • Integrate Wi-Fi, HaLow, and other radios on shared platforms, and own coexistence and isolation across co-located standards.
  • Own RF schematic and layout decisions, including stack-up, controlled impedance, RF routing, and isolation; review PCB layouts with the electrical engineering team.
  • Characterize designs using a vector network analyzer, run S-parameter and radiation pattern measurements, and drive bring-up of new RF hardware.
  • Define acceptance criteria for RF designs and partner with the test team on qualification methodology.
  • Maintain design files, measurement reports, and qualification artifacts.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with sub-GHz or ISM bands, particularly 902–928 MHz.
  • Antenna design experience with patch, array, air-gap, or other constrained-form-factor antennas.
  • Multi-radio platform integration and coexistence, such as Wi-Fi with sub-GHz, Wi-Fi with cellular, or similar.
  • Anechoic chamber operations or near-field scanning.
  • Awareness of FCC Part 15 as it relates to intentional radiators.
  • Familiarity with Altium or a comparable PCB layout tool.
