Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • One to five years related experience with rotating equipment preferred
  • Knowledge of pump hydraulics, mechanics, and construction
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship building skills with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Configure Price Quote (CPQ), and/or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools
Responsibilities
  • Provide Applications Engineering support to channel partners, distributors, and end users
  • Provide optimal design selections based on customer requirements
  • Estimate project costing and negotiate lead times
  • Collaborate with purchasing team and other stakeholders to obtain costing for components as required
  • Support maintenance of CRM funnel to ensure opportunity visibility by field sales team
  • Develop technical depth and understanding of Xylem products and applications
  • Support submittal development
  • Collaborate with other technical and engineering groups to provide the required customer solution
  • Proactively anticipate and mitigate risk
  • Provide timely responses to inquiries
  • Meet or exceed established SLA and required metrics
  • Be easy to do business with
  • Support timely order entry, deliverables, and order status
