TSC is looking for an experienced Quality Control Engineer for our Huntsville, AL (Discovery) location. Contract to hire possible. Responsibilities to anticipate include, but are not limited to:
- Create quality plans for production ready products and products entering first production
- Provide expertise for the preparation, evaluation, and assessment of documentation relative to processes encountered during the manufacturing, inspection, and test phases of programs
- Work with production and inspection to solve issues, collect data and present meaningful metrics pointing to opportunities for improvement.
- Create First Article Inspection documentation, perform process audits and be present in Production.
- Build close relationship with assigned Program Manager, and Production Personnel.
- Support PCA (Physical Configuration Audit) and FCA (Functional Configuration Audit)
- Witness DVT and Qualification Testing
- Review requirement validation objective evidence
- Support FRACA (Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action) for failures discovered during testing
- Participate in Material Review Board process, as needed
- Develop and implement new or improve existing internal operating procedures and work instructions
- Review Python Test Script for errors, omissions, and the inclusion of test limits data.
- Create Corrective Action Requests (CAR) and ensure timely resolution of corrective actions
- Conduct Internal Audits and manage/maintain Audit Schedule
- Perform review of documentation on final hardware to ensure accuracy, completeness and correct data is provided.
- Perform final release of finished hardware and notify Quality Manager of clearance to ship.
Required Knowledge:
- Experience with development programs and transition to production
- Experience with ISO 9001 or AS9100 Quality Management Systems, strongly preferred
- Experience applying audit standards, procedures and techniques, strongly preferred
- Experience reviewing Python script for errors and inclusion of required test limits. Ability to write Python script required.
- Familiar with IPC, J-STD, MIL and DOD Standards
- Experience with configuration control
- Experience with material traceability process and tools

- Python Programming (Script) skills and experience.

- Ability to accurately maintain records and documents in accordance with policies and procedures

- Ability to apply review, interpret and ensure compliance to relevant contract quality notes
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to summarize issues from collected data and present succinct summary in visual form
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Science, Technology, Quality Assurance or Equivalent or 5-7 years of applicable experience in quality assurance, engineering, or operations
Preferred Qualification:
- 5-7 years’ experience in Circuit Card Assemblies & Integration
- 5-7 years’ experience in Mechanical Assemblies
- DoD or Military Hardware Manufacturing Experience
