About the job
- A graduate qualification in Commerce or Accounting.
- Accounts payable experience of 0 to 2 years.
- Strong knowledge of basic accounting and accounts payable processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Detail orientation.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Issue invoices accurately and on time for assigned clients.
- Check entries in the finance software, such as Mediaocean or another implemented enterprise resource planning solution, against media plans and vendor invoices.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of documents required for client billing.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Generate and send invoices to clients according to their invoicing timelines.
- For regional or global clients requiring centralized billing, work with other markets in the network to ensure supporting documents are in order.
- Check vendor and supplier invoices against client budgets and billings and ensure they contain the necessary details.
- Enter vendor and supplier invoices into the system.
- Ensure proper documentation is submitted to the payment team for vendor and supplier invoices, including proof of why an item was entered into the system.
- Prepare work-in-progress and billing reports for discussion with clients and media teams.
- Prepare media actualization and foreign exchange reconciliation reports, where applicable, in accordance with client timelines.
- For regional or global clients requiring centralized billing, maintain a tracker showing the on-time status of campaigns, billings, and payments.
- Guide and support the Intercompany coordinator in monthly reporting and confirmation activities, including statement of account preparation, journal voucher postings, email confirmations, and report submission.
- Check the work of the Finance Executive (Interco) on intercompany recharges and billings, payment requests, journal entries, and related tasks.
- Prepare ad hoc reports as required.
- Complete additional projects or tasks assigned according to company requirements.
