About the job

Requirements
  • Significant experience raising institutional capital across North America, ideally spanning venture capital, private equity, growth equity, or a global multi-asset platform.
  • A demonstrated history of originating and closing fund commitments directly with institutional limited partners and sophisticated family offices.
  • Deep, active relationships across the North American allocator ecosystem, including pensions, endowments, foundations, consultants, fund-of-funds, family offices, and strategic investors.
  • Experience leading or building capital formation teams and operating as a senior representative of a firm in the market.
  • Credibility and presence with sophisticated institutional investors, combined with a highly commercial mindset.
  • Strong commercial instinct and fundraising judgment, including the ability to listen to limited partner needs, adapt product narratives, and manage objections with nuance and conviction.
  • Fluency with fund performance analysis, portfolio construction discussions, and institutional due diligence expectations.
  • A leadership style that develops strong teams while maintaining personal accountability for outcomes.
  • Ability to operate autonomously in a busy, high-velocity environment and personally manage relationships, processes, and priorities from first meeting through close.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and comfort operating in a fast-growing, globally distributed organization where priorities evolve and opportunities emerge quickly.
  • Strong personal ownership, self-direction, proactivity, and accountability for outcomes, with the ability to move work forward without extensive structure or oversight.
  • A collaborative instinct, including sharing market intelligence openly, working across regions, and contributing to a global capital formation effort rather than operating in silos.
  • Intellectual curiosity about venture and innovation, including genuine interest in early-stage investing, founders, and emerging technology ecosystems.
  • Pragmatism and adaptability, including comfort representing Antler in a CIO meeting or progressing internal processes hands-on.
  • Based in, or willing to relocate to, a major North American financial centre.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver against North American fundraising targets across Antler's fund suite, including flagship regional and global vehicles, thematic strategies, and co-investment opportunities.
  • Manage the full fundraising cycle from prospecting and origination through qualification, pitching, due diligence management, and close.
  • Build and maintain a high-quality, well-segmented pipeline of institutional investors, endowments, foundations, pension funds, family offices, sovereign wealth funds, and strategic corporates suited to Antler's fund products.
  • Lead term negotiation and closing processes, including side letters, subscription documentation, and partnership structuring where required.
  • Establish and convert strategic limited partner partnerships that expand Antler's footprint and distribution capabilities in the region.
  • Provide a clear, data-driven view of the North American fundraising pipeline, reporting regularly to global Capital Team leadership on progress, risks, and opportunities.
  • Serve as the primary relationship owner for North American limited partners across the full investor lifecycle, from prospecting through ongoing stewardship.
  • Maintain consistent, high-quality investor engagement, ensuring investors are informed about fund performance, portfolio developments, and strategic direction.
  • Represent Antler externally at investor meetings, industry forums, conferences, panels, and targeted events, acting as a credible voice on early-stage venture, emerging managers, and private markets.
  • Expand Antler's reach by building and leveraging a network of advisors, gatekeepers, consultants, and other capital market intermediaries.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for Antler's mission, investment thesis, and portfolio by translating complex strategies into clear narratives for prospective limited partners.
  • Build, lead, and develop a team of at least three capital professionals in North America, setting targets, priorities, and performance standards.
  • Foster a high-performance, collaborative team culture aligned with Antler's global values and the professionalism expected of a capital markets function.
  • Coach and mentor team members, supporting career development and technical skill-building in fundraising, limited partner relations, and deal structuring.
  • Allocate coverage responsibilities and manage team workflow to ensure the limited partner pipeline is efficiently worked and relationships are maintained.
  • Collaborate with global Capital Team colleagues to share intelligence, align messaging, and contribute to a unified fundraising approach.
  • Balance strategic oversight with active participation in day-to-day fundraising execution.
  • Partner with global Managing Partners and the Capital Team to influence fund product design and positioning for North American limited partners and support Antler's continued growth.
  • Translate limited partner feedback into actionable input for fund design, structuring, and commercial strategy.
  • Support development of pitch materials, fund documentation, data rooms, and limited partner due diligence responses with Investor Relations, Legal, and Finance teams.
  • Identify opportunities for new partnerships, structures, or distribution channels that support Antler's commercial strategy and long-term growth.
  • Influence capital formation infrastructure, including adoption of pipeline management and customer relationship management tools and reporting discipline.
  • Introduce institutional asset management best practices while adapting them to a fast-growing global platform.
  • Partner cross-functionally to strengthen systems, processes, and operational scalability as fundraising activity expands.
  • Travel frequently across the region and internationally.
Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with venture or early-stage investing structures is helpful.
  • Experience with closed-end blind-pool vehicles, co-investment structures, and evergreen or open-ended products is a strong advantage.
  • San Francisco is a preferred location alongside New York.

About the company

Antler is a global early-stage venture capital firm that supports founders from day zero. It runs a 12-week program where aspiring entrepreneurs form teams, validate ideas, and develop viable business models through lectures, workshops, sprints, and coaching, with teams pitching to an Investment Committee for funding. The company earns returns by investing in the startups and taking equity stakes. What makes Antler different is its structured, end-to-end approach that helps founders build teams and rigorously validate concepts before seeking investment, rather than simply providing capital. It also has a strong regional focus in Australia, notably Queensland, where it collaborates with the Queensland Investment Corporation and the Queensland Government's venture fund to close the early-stage funding gap and boost local innovation.

Teen founder's cattle-herding drone startup GrazeMate raises $1.2M to expand into California

GrazeMate, an Australian startup that uses autonomous drones to move cattle, has raised $1.2 million in pre-seed funding to expand into California. Y Combinator led the round, with NextGen Ventures and Antler also taking part. Founded by 19-year-old Sam Rogers, a farmer's son, the company lets farmers pick a paddock in a mobile app and send a drone to guide the herd. The app alerts the farmer when the cattle pass through the gate, with no manual piloting needed. The drones also report on pasture, herd weight estimates, and infrastructure such as water troughs. GrazeMate has commitments to muster 1.7 million acres across Queensland and New South Wales.

PreScalar raises $7M from Dynamo and BMW i Ventures to fix factory firmware

PreScalar has raised $7 million in seed funding, led jointly by Dynamo Ventures and BMW i Ventures. Blue Wire Capital, Uplift Ventures, and Antler also took part. The startup's modular test stations let manufacturers test, update, and track firmware on the production line. Parts often arrive with outdated firmware, and factories must reprogram them by hand or send them back. Founded in 2025, PreScalar was started by former Cruise, Waymo, and Rivian staff who built similar systems there. It has won pilot contracts worth more than $100,000 with an AV company and an electronics manufacturer. The money will fund research and development, hardware manufacturing, hiring, and commercial deployments.

Norwegian AI startup Jenz raises $610,000 pre-seed to automate retail operations

Norwegian AI startup Jenz has raised €540,000 in pre-seed funding from Antler and Ada Ventures. It also received a NOK 1 million (€92,000) startup grant from Innovation Norway. Jenz builds an AI platform that pulls retailers' data from online stores, point-of-sale, inventory, accounting, and marketing tools into one layer. Its AI agent analyses sales, forecasts demand, automates routine tasks, and alerts staff when decisions are needed. Pilot customers have assigned more than 3,000 tasks across over 20 systems. Some reported saving up to 100 hours in their first month, and one retailer saw team capacity rise 31%. Jenz won the Norway AI Hackathon in June. It plans to launch in the UK within nine months.
