Electronics Technician
About the job
- An associate degree or technical certification in Electrical or a related field, or equivalent experience, is required.
- At least 7 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience is required.
- Strong experience with programmable logic controllers, human-machine interfaces, sensors, and automation systems is required.
- A solid understanding of motor controls, variable frequency drives, and power distribution is required.
- The ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams is required.
- The ability to troubleshoot complex issues independently is required.
- A safety-first mindset and strong attention to detail are required.
- Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical systems, including alternating-current and direct-current circuits, motors, variable frequency drives, and control panels.
- Diagnose issues on programmable-logic-controller-controlled equipment and automated machinery.
- Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control layouts.
- Support programmable logic controller and human-machine interface troubleshooting and system improvements.
- Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
- Partner with engineering and production teams to optimize system performance.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement lasting solutions.
- Ensure all work meets safety standards and lockout/tagout requirements.
