Qonto sets course for one million customers with a new flagship headquarters in the heart of Paris.

Qonto sets course for one million customers with a new flagship headquarters in the heart of Paris. Qonto has inaugurated its new headquarters on the Grands Boulevards in Paris. A huge 11,000-square-meter ocean liner to better embody the European conquest ambitions of the fintech, which intends to soon become a real bank. "Bonne-Nouvelle" for Qonto. The French fintech has moved to the Grands Boulevards area, in the 10th arrondissement of Paris, this back-to-school period. While it had seen Swile move into brand-new 3,500-square-meter premises on Rue de Navarin, in Pigalle, a year ago, Alexandre Prot's company did not remain neighbors with Loïc Soubeyrand's for long. From now on, Qonto's headquarters is located in Impasse de Bonne-Nouvelle in a huge circular building that previously housed a post office. In this ultra-modern flagship to assert its ambitions, the French company has taken possession of 11,000 square meters over nine floors, with the highlight being a rooftop that offers a panoramic 360-degree view of Paris. In detail, the building houses 900 workstations, as many as the number of employees Qonto has in France, 55 meeting rooms, 90 phone booths and two conference spaces that can gather up to 425 people. More moderate growth. With this new headquarters, Qonto not only wants to provide its employees with the best conditions, but also to assert its power in its market to become the reference financial infrastructure for SMEs, very small businesses and self-employed people. To turn this ambition into reality, the French fintech had in particular completed a €486 million fundraising round in January 2022, which had propelled its valuation to €4.4 billion. With this operation, Qonto was then the largest French unicorn. When this funding round was announced, the company hoped to cross the one-million-customer mark this year, but that horizon has finally been pushed back. Indeed, Qonto preferred to slow its growth pace so as not to burn its wings in a tense economic and political context in France and Europe. Today, the fintech claims more than 750,000 business customers in 8 European countries (France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands and Portugal). "Becoming a bank" Qonto's move into its new HQ thus marks a milestone in its quest for one million customers, but also a change in its status. During the short keynote to mark this inauguration, which Mayor of Paris Emmanuel Grégoire attended, Alexandre Prot, co-founder and CEO of Qonto, was very clear: "We are entering a new chapter to become a bank." In this regard, the fintech filed an application for a banking license with the Autorité de contrôle prudentiel et de résolution (ACPR) in summer 2025. With this precious key, Qonto will be able to enter the long-term credit segment. In addition to loans, the company will have the possibility to launch savings and investment products. A major step forward to gain credibility and expand further in Europe. For now, it is with its business creation solution that Qonto is gaining market share. The fintech recently rolled it out in Italy and the Netherlands. In France, one in four companies is now created with Qonto.

French neobank Qonto unveils "milestone" new central Paris HQ.

French neobank Qonto unveils "milestone" new central Paris HQ. Qonto's new HQ is nearly double the size of its previous HQ, it said. French neobank Qonto yesterday unveiled its new headquarters in central Paris, a 11,000 square metre site, nearly double the size of its previous headquarters, in a move heralded as a "milestone" by its CEO. Qonto has more than 600,000 SME and freelance customers across Europe, where it takes on incumbent financial players. On top of its core business banking offering, it offers SMEs and freelancers corporate cards, bookkeeping tools, expense management and short-term financing in a single hub. Qonto's new headquarters mark a significant upgrade on its previous headquarters, which was in a Paris WeWork. Its new headquarters is spread over nine floors and includes three cafes and an on-site barista service provided through Qonto's partnership with Trèfle, a French inclusive workplace-catering company employing and training people with disabilities. It also has a gym and sauna room and a terrace with spectacular views across Paris. In an effort to help the environment, some of the office furniture is second-hand. On the walls there are portraits featuring entrepreneurs from across Europe, a meeting room is named after Qonto's first customer, a map shows its European footprint, and a listening point allows teams to hear customer recordings directly. Alexandre Prot, co-founder and CEO Qonto, said: "Today marks an important milestone for Qonto. Bonne Nouvelle is where we will build Qonto's next chapter. As we move towards becoming a bank, our ambition is clear: to become the AI-powered European champion of banking and finance management for SMEs." Follow the developments in the technology world. Gigs

Gigs expands to France and partners with Qonto to keep businesses connected wherever they travel.

Gigs expands to France and partners with Qonto to keep businesses connected wherever they travel. James Bessenbach Marketing and Communications Manager Jun 30, 2026 PARIS & SAN FRANCISCO - July 7, 2026. Gigs, the operating system for mobile services and the global leader in embedded connectivity, today announced its expansion into France through a landmark partnership with Qonto, Europe's leading business finance platform. The launch makes Qonto the first French fintech to embed travel eSIMs directly into its product, enabling Qonto's 600,000 SME customers to discover, activate, and manage their travel connectivity around the globe without leaving the Qonto app. Modern entrepreneurs and SMEs expect teams to operate without borders. Qonto already caters to this need on the financial side, with seamless travel insurance and fee-free global card payments. The key piece missing from the travel package is connectivity. French SMEs are among Europe's most internationally active: 42% of Qonto customers have at least one member travelling for business, with the United States, the United Kingdom and Morocco among the most visited destinations. Today, business travelers who need to stay connected on the road are faced with a tough choice: either pay astronomical and unpredictable roaming charges, or resort to clunky plastic SIMs or, worse still, risky public WiFi. Powered by Gigs, Qonto users can now install travel eSIMs at highly competitive prices natively within the Qonto app in under a minute. Admins can assign travel eSIMs to team members that are travelling for business, just as they already issue cards for trip expenses. The service follows a "one eSIM for life" model: once installed, a single eSIM works across more than 180 countries on the world's strongest 5G and 4G LTE networks, with users able to top up data at any time directly from the app. Users simply pick their destination, install their eSIM, and are connected the second they hit the tarmac. To mark the launch, every Qonto user receives 1GB of free global data. Romain Goueffon, Head of Partnerships at Qonto said "At Qonto, our goal is to remove friction from our customers' day-to-day operations, so they can focus on running their business. Business travel shouldn't mean juggling SIM cards, roaming fees or additional apps. By partnering with Gigs, we're making connectivity as seamless as managing payments or expenses in Qonto, giving our customers one less thing to think about before they travel." "Qonto is what we built Gigs for: a platform that 600,000 businesses already trust, with the ambition to give them everything they need in one place. Embedding eSIMs doesn't just solve a travel problem, it sets a new standard for how French businesses and consumers access connectivity: directly from the apps they love and use daily. Gigs is here to partner with the France's most ambitious platforms to raise the bar in mobile experience and distribution for millions", added Arthur Decanter, GTM Lead for France at Gigs Following sustained growth across the US, Europe, and Latin America, the deal is a strategic milestone in Gigs' global expansion. The company pioneered embedded connectivity as a new category, and has established itself as the platform of choice for fintechs and consumer technology companies enriching their product suite with mobile plans, including global leaders like Cash App, Revolut, Klarna, Tide and Nubank (the largest Neobank in the world). With more than $100 million raised from Ribbit Capital, Google, Y Combinator, Speedinvest, and BoxGroup, Gigs is now building out its team in France and actively hiring in Paris, with further French partners being announced this year. About Gigs Gigs, the operating system for mobile services, empowers tech companies to seamlessly embed connectivity into their offerings in weeks. By bundling phone plans and travel data with their core services, Gigs' customers can increase stickiness and unlock a new recurring revenue stream with digital mobile experiences that create meaningful value for consumers. Gigs' end-to-end platform provides everything brands like Revolut, Klarna, Nubank, and Tide need to launch and operate their own multi-market mobile service: premium connectivity, a hosted checkout, billing, subscription management, analytics, and AI-powered customer service. Backed by Ribbit Capital, Google, Y Combinator, Speedinvest, and BoxGroup, Gigs was founded by Hermann Frank and Dennis Bauer in 2020. For more information, visit gigs.com. Qonto partners with Upvest to enable businesses to put their idle cash to work with money market funds.

Qonto partners with Upvest to enable businesses to put their idle cash to work with money market funds. Julieta Varsano * Europe's leading business finance management solution Qonto is partnering with Upvest to add investment capabilities for SMEs across Europe * Through Upvest's API-first infrastructure, Qonto's business users will be able to earn yield with money market funds directly within the platform * The partnership brings access to selected capital markets investment products to hundreds of thousands of businesses Berlin, 8 June 2026 - European business finance platform Qonto today announces a partnership with Upvest, Europe's leading investment infrastructure provider, to launch a new in-app investing feature. Qonto's business users can now allocate surplus cash into highly competitive, euro-denominated money market funds from as little as €1. Germany, Qonto's largest market outside France, will be the first to benefit from this new offering, followed by a future market expansion across Europe. Money market funds are a natural fit for small and medium sized businesses looking to earn returns on working capital broadly in line with overnight deposit rates. The new feature is embedded into the Qonto experience, and can be accessed without leaving the platform or performing an additional KYB (Know Your Business) verification beyond the existing Qonto account verification. Additionally, the yield is shown transparently, net of all fees, directly inside the Qonto dashboard. Thus, businesses can now manage their accounts, track their spending, and handle their invoicing and bookkeeping, while putting their cash to work at the same time. For too long, the treasury tools available to large corporates have been out of reach for SMEs, even though collectively they hold billions in business accounts across Europe. Germany alone is home to more than 3.4 million SMEs, making it one of the most significant markets to address. This partnership is a step towards closing that gap. By giving its business users a simple and accessible way to earn returns on surplus funds, Qonto takes another step towards becoming the all-in-one financial home for European businesses, helping them not only manage their money, but grow it. Behind the scenes, Upvest's investment infrastructure handles order execution and settlement, custody, regulatory reporting, and tax processing, reducing operational complexity and enabling Qonto to focus on delivering a best-in-class experience for its users. "We built Qonto to give SMEs a smarter way to manage their finances. Every feature we build comes back to the same question: what do our customers actually need to run their business more effectively? The answer was clear as many SMEs have idle cash and they want to use it in a way that is working for them and supporting their growth. Partnering with Upvest thus is a natural next step as it brings investment capabilities directly into the Qonto platform and makes investing in money market funds as simple as transferring money" Malte Dous Managing Director Central Europe "We are proud to partner with Qonto to bring investment capabilities to some of Europe's most dynamic businesses. Powered by Upvest's Investment API, Qonto can now offer its business users a seamless, low-friction way to grow their cash, while we handle all the complexity behind the scenes. This partnership is a strong example of how modern investment infrastructure can make capital markets genuinely accessible at scale."
