Requirements
  • A bachelor's or associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Instrumentation, Automation, or a related field.
  • Three to five or more years of experience working with SCADA systems, industrial automation, or field service engineering.
  • Proficiency with SCADA platforms including Wonderware/AVEVA, GE Quick Panel, Red Lion, and HMI/OIPs.
  • Knowledge of PLCs and programming, including GE RX7i, LM 90-30, Modicon EcoStruxure Control Expert, and M580.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience with Ethernet, serial communications, TCP/IP, and Modbus protocols.
  • Ability to work in a team and solve technical problems.
  • Ability to perform fieldwork, travel, and work in industrial environments.
  • A valid driver's license for field visits.
  • Familiarity with industrial safety standards and protocols.
  • Ability to develop and interpret technical documentation and specifications.
  • Ability to explain complex systems in simple terms.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and database management.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, crawling, and moving equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to operate equipment safely and work around electrical, mechanical, chemical, weather, noise, and other industrial hazards.
Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain SCADA systems for energy management, switchgear parallel operation, and controls.
  • Install and configure SCADA hardware and software at customer sites.
  • Integrate SCADA systems with programmable logic controllers, remote terminal units, sensors, and network components.
  • Work with PLC programs, including GE RX3i, Schneider systems, and IEC 61131 standards.
  • Manage communication protocols such as DNP, Modbus, SEL protocols, and IEC 61850.
  • Ensure network cybersecurity standards and integrity using TCP/IP protocols.
  • Develop or modify HMI/OIP and SCADA panels running AVEVA/Wonderware and Red Lion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system interoperability and efficiency.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for SCADA systems.
  • Prepare detailed reports on system performance, issues, and resolutions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations and changes.
  • Stay current with SCADA technologies and trends and implement them as required.
