- Completion of an AMA-approved Physician Assistant program and NCCPA certification for physician assistant candidates.
- Completion of a nurse practitioner education program and national certification for nurse practitioner candidates.
- At least 3 years of experience treating patients of all ages in an urgent care or emergency medicine setting.
- Ability to exercise a high degree of initiative, judgment, and discretion in decision-making.
- Clean background, unrestricted North Carolina physician assistant or nurse practitioner license, North Carolina Drug Enforcement Administration registration, American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification, and Department of Transportation certification.
- Provide patient care in Convenient Care clinics.
- Work across the system’s seven Convenient Care locations, which are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Use the Epic electronic medical record system.
- Coordinate with system emergency departments when acute care transfer is needed.
- At least 4 years of experience treating patients of all ages in an urgent care or emergency medicine setting.
