Requirements
- Three years of experience developing, planning, and facilitating training materials, performance improvement, and program management.
- Strong analytical, oral, written communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience developing and conducting employee training programs.
- Experience using Microsoft Publisher, Microsoft Office, Visio, and Microsoft Word.
- Experience with software for developing training and other virtual training materials.
- Healthcare revenue cycle-related certification or an equivalently designated certification approved by management must be obtained within one year.
- Must pass the applicable driver's license check and/or credit check for positions requiring it.
- Must pass the applicable Wisconsin Caregiver Background Check and/or Illinois Health Care Workers Background Check.
- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
Responsibilities
- Assist in designing, developing, and coordinating training sessions, programs, and competency testing for Revenue Cycle Operations.
- Prepare, assemble, and revise course materials annually or as requested to meet department needs.
- Maintain an understanding of the overall business environment, including business practices, processes, and strategies.
- Conduct training, development, competency testing, and general orientation sessions for partners across Patient Access, Patient Financial Services, Managed Care, and Coding.
- Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of training programs.
- Develop presentation materials, lead meetings, and facilitate workgroups.
- Maintain the master training calendar and ensure the availability of equipment, space, and materials.
- Prepare course advertising materials and coordinate schedules for external and internal training resources.
- Communicate training-session setups and ensure necessary materials and supplies are available.
- Follow up in person with staff after training to confirm competency or arrange retraining as needed.
- Work with the management team to provide additional support, including coaching and in-services.
- Facilitate and measure regular quality audits across Revenue Cycle areas to ensure they meet organizational objectives.
- Conduct quality audits and provide feedback to division leadership.
- Analyze quality metrics and provide updates to the Revenue Cycle dashboard.
- Identify and facilitate lean initiatives in areas that fail to meet performance metrics.
- Partner with information systems to test Epic upgrades for Revenue Cycle areas and understand changes and impacts to Revenue Cycle processes.
- Document department workflows and interdepartmental impacts using Visio workflow documentation.
- Identify improvement opportunities during workflow documentation and notify leadership.
- Create and maintain workflow documentation and training materials in a central storage location accessible to partners.
- Partner with team members to achieve goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
- Three years of experience in revenue cycle-related functions in conjunction with training.
- A bachelor's degree in a related field.
