Requirements
  • The candidate must have satisfactorily completed an AMA-approved school of radiological technology.
  • The candidate must be a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • The candidate must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • The candidate must hold ARRT Advanced Modality Registration.
  • The candidate must be licensed by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA).
  • The candidate must hold current American Heart Association Basic Life Support or American Red Cross Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification.
  • The candidate must have at least two years of multi-modality experience.
  • The candidate must have one year of experience as a registered Radiological Technologist and Computed Tomography experience.
  • The candidate must have certification in the modality area after radiology certification.
  • The candidate must be fully competent in advanced modality skill sets and flexible to rotate.
  • The candidate must be able to work rotating shifts and overtime as required.
  • The candidate must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds unassisted and exert up to 50 pounds of force.
  • The candidate must maintain required corrected vision, hearing acuity, peripheral vision, depth perception, color discrimination, and tactile sensory functions.
  • The candidate must be able to deal effectively with stressful situations.
  • The candidate must be able to work in a latex-safe environment.
Responsibilities
  • Perform computed tomography scans and radiographic examinations.
  • Produce computerized tomographic scans and radiographs of designated anatomical areas according to established practices and procedures.
  • Obtain patient history.
  • Explain routine procedures to patients and address their concerns.
