Housekeeping Attendant
About the job
- Preferably have one or more years of experience in the same role at a four- or five-star hotel.
- Get the assignment sheet from the Housekeeping office.
- Take note of guest requests and instructions provided by the Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Attend communication meetings for the section.
- Arrange guest amenities, cleaning supplies, minibar items, and clean linen properly on the trolley before starting work.
- Check and note all rooms with a Make Up sign.
- Before the end of the shift, check and note rooms with a Do Not Disturb sign and respect the sign.
- Personally supervise end-of-day closing of the service area, ensuring equipment is in its appropriate place and nothing hazardous is left around.
- At the end of the shift or day, communicate information needed by the next shift or supervisor for smooth operations.
- Report exposed guest valuables to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Acknowledge guests immediately, establish eye contact, greet them in a friendly manner, pause other work when recognizing a guest, and provide professional service.
- Follow hospitality key number 3 when entering and leaving guest rooms.
- Thoroughly clean bathrooms, walls, and bathtubs; check bathtubs for hair; replace towels and amenities; and report maintenance needs to Housekeeping.
- Remove wilted flowers, wash the flower vase, and place fresh flowers.
- Make up beds, clean bedrooms, refill stationery, matches, and minibar items, and remove spots or hair found on bed linen.
