About the Job

Requirements

  • A master's degree or equivalent experience in electrical engineering, mechanical development, computer engineering, production engineering, or a related technical field is preferred; an equivalent combination of education and industry experience will be considered.
  • At least 8 years of experience in Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Engineering, or related fields supporting NPI and high-volume production environments.
  • Deep expertise in board and system manufacturing, including process control, yield improvement, testing, failure analysis, reliability engineering, and factory operations.
  • Ability to independently solve complex technical and cross-functional manufacturing challenges using data-driven approaches.
  • Ability to align global engineering, operations, quality, and supplier teams without direct authority.
  • Strong understanding of system architecture, board building, signal integrity, power delivery, thermal composing, and reliability considerations, capable of influencing build decisions for manufacturability and scalability.
  • Track record of identifying design-related issues early in the product lifecycle and driving cross-functional solutions that improve output, quality, dependability, and manufacturing readiness.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%, domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the on-site manufacturing technical lead for Datacenter Board products at the Guadalajara plant, improving factory preparedness, NPI execution, yield, and technical issue resolution throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison between NVIDIA, Contract Manufacturers, and suppliers supporting Datacenter Board products made in Mexico.
  • Lead NPI readiness, factory qualification, and NPI-to-MP transitions to ensure manufacturing readiness and production success.
  • Provide hands-on factory support to drive efficient execution of NPI and mass-production builds while rapidly resolving manufacturing issues.
  • Lead root-cause analysis and technical closure of manufacturing, yield, quality, reliability, and test-related challenges.
  • Analyze manufacturing data, yield trends, reliability metrics, and benchmarks to identify risks and drive corrective actions.
  • Drive factory readiness reviews, benchmark assessments, and resolution of partner concerns for critical production, quality, material, and capacity issues.
  • Partner with multi-functional teams to improve DFM, DFT, process optimization, engineering change implementation, and manufacturing risk mitigation.
  • Provide technical leadership through dashboards, continuous improvement initiatives, mentorship, and teamwork across global teams, suppliers, and Contract Manufacturers.

About the Company

NVIDIA

Designs the chips and software that power AI

NVIDIA designs the chips and software that power artificial intelligence and sells complete data center systems to cloud providers, AI labs, and other businesses, along with GeForce graphics cards for gamers. Its GPUs, chips that perform thousands of calculations at once, became the main hardware for AI after researchers used them to train the AlexNet image-recognition model in 2012. NVIDIA connects many GPUs with its own processors and networking gear into servers and rack-sized computers, and developers program them through its CUDA software. These systems bring in most of its sales, and it also makes chips for cars and robots. Jensen Huang co-founded NVIDIA in 1993, and it is based in Santa Clara, California.
