Transfer Order

Your Role & Responsibilities

Internal Material Transfers:

• Coordinate transportation for internal transfer orders between the production facility and two offsite warehouse locations to ensure timely supply of raw materials, packaging, and other components for production.
• Monitor and schedule the movement of inventory to align with FIFO strategy, warehouse space limitations, CG truck allocation, production needs, considering specific lot allocations and testing requirements.

System Transactions:

• Process transfer orders within BUS to maintain accurate records of internal material movements.
• Track the status of transfer orders and update relevant teams on progress, delays, or discrepancies.
• Assure timely data entry via bar code, tablet, laptop to also prepare for end-of-month cycle counting.
• Collaborate with Brenntag inventory coordinator for inventory variance corrections.

Inventory Alignment:

• Collaborate with R&D and Batch Administration Planner to ensure raw materials transferred to the production facility via the proper Lot #’s that are pre-approved and allocated to specific formula production batches.
• Reconcile physical inventory levels between sites with BUS records to maintain accuracy.
• Track inventory for production and non-production related miscellaneous items and develop re-order quantity levels.
• Communicate to Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) when customer specific blends produced more or less than quantity ordered.

Resource Optimization:

• Develop efficient schedules for transfer orders to minimize transportation costs and reduce delays in material availability.
• Adjust transfer schedules dynamically to address production changes or unexpected inventory needs.

Communication and Coordination:

• Liaise with warehouse and production teams to ensure seamless execution of transfer orders, aligning schedules with operational priorities.
• Work with Quality Assurance on execution plan when raw materials have exceeded 60% of their shelf life.
• Serve as the primary point of contact to Production Manager, Production Planner, Shipping / Receiving Supervisor for addressing issues or discrepancies in internal material transfers.
