Requirements
  • At least 18 years old

  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English, in order to follow cleaning schedules, sanitation procedures, and complete logs
  • Basic math skills: counting, addition, and subtraction
Responsibilities
  • Follow Revolution Farms and Peckham safety guidelines
  • Perform crop production tasks including planting, cultivation, inspection, maintenance, harvest, and post-harvest handling of tomatoes, strawberries, mushrooms, ornamentals, and other crops
  • Be able to identify visually and follow key crop quality specifications to ensure that finished product meets internal and customer specifications
  • Work in packing coolers, freezers, or refrigerated spaces while conducting food processing, packing, packaging, cleaning, and shipment preparation
  • Identify, operate, and maintain farm equipment in accordance with required certifications, safety protocols, and supervisor direction. Frequently used equipment includes, but is not limited to, tractors, fork trucks, scissor lifts, golf carts, trailers, blowers, pruners, and other powered and unpowered hand tools
  • Support farmstand operations including performing outstanding customer service, stocking, labeling, opening and closing duties, and point-of-sale (Square) functions
  • Assist with irrigation, fertigation, and amendment application to support crop health
  • Inspect produce and packaging for defects, contamination, and foreign materials during harvest and packing; report any issues promptly
  • Meet or exceed established production and efficiency standards
  • Rotate workstations as required to support workflow
  • Carry out snow removal operations during the winter season, including using powered and unpowered equipment
  • Maintain safe and organized work areas across Revolution Farms and Peckham buildings and grounds using appropriate tools and procedures, in compliance with company standards
  • Complete all required Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs), including beginning and end of day, and ongoing throughout shift
  • Comply with all written Good Manufacturing and Agricultural Practices (GMPs/GAPs) at all times, including but not limited to, personal clothing, personal items, personal hygiene, food safety attire, and proper food handling and sanitation
  • Fulfill and coordinate Farmstand and wholesale orders, including pallet packing, transportation, and delivery logistics
  • Read and navigate site maps to communicate locations and adhere to safety zones
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work area and report any safety concerns to the supervisor
  • Organize produce and packaging to comply with First In, First Out (FIFO) procedures
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions
  • Communicate effectively with other team members and staff
  • Contribute positively to team goals and maintain a collaborative work environment
  • Other duties as assigned
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior experience in agriculture, horticulture, landscaping, or a related field
  • Experience with farm equipment operation
  • Dependability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
  • Customer service experience, particularly in a retail or outdoor setting
  • Knowledge of food safety principles or willingness to obtain food safety training
  • Basic computer knowledge

According to a recent contract announcement, the selected carriers will share a $24 million deal to move critical cargo within the continental United States. A winning team of carriers. Selected from a pool of 13 competitive bids, the following companies were awarded the contract: * Delta Air Lines Inc. (Atlanta, Georgia) * Lynden Air Cargo LLC (Anchorage, Alaska) * Northern Air Cargo LLC (Anchorage, Alaska) * Sun Country Inc. (Minneapolis, Minnesota) * United Parcel Service Co.
