Requirements
  • Previous build or operations experience with Epic is required.
  • Medical Laboratory Technologist experience is strongly preferred.
  • Epic certification in Beaker, ClinDoc, or Orders is preferred, or the relevant certification must be completed within three months of hire.
  • Working knowledge of Sectra and/or laboratory processes is an asset.
  • Ability to identify and communicate operational issues and drive effective resolution while maintaining high end-user satisfaction.
  • Ability to handle complex problems and provide innovative solutions that achieve high-quality business or clinical outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of workflows and procedures related to the relevant clinical area.
  • Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, including the ability to determine root causes and courses of action.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to communicate information clearly and concisely with project leadership and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new software, systems, and processes.
  • Ability to work reliably under difficult conditions and time pressure.
Responsibilities
  • Independently evaluate systems, analyze complex issues and problems, troubleshoot, resolve break-fix issues, and test resolutions with application teams.
  • Provide ongoing maintenance and support for assigned applications with little to no assistance.
  • Participate in and lead testing of application updates, enhancements, custom programming, and new releases or quarterly upgrades.
  • Support operational committees and working groups in workflow design and optimization decisions by identifying system capabilities, limitations, and risks.
  • Work with Principal Trainers to keep training materials and content synchronized with build updates.
  • Support application end users in collaboration with the Principal Trainer.
  • Review project and issue status regularly with leadership.
Desired Qualifications
  • Medical Laboratory Technologist experience.
  • Epic certification in Beaker, ClinDoc, or Orders.
