Requirements
  • A terminal degree, specifically a Ph.D. or equivalent, in Organizational Leadership, Organizational Studies, Communication, Management, or a closely related discipline is required by the appointment start date or later.
  • Evidence of a history of professional practice and engagement in the field is required.
  • Substantial industry experience in organizational leadership, corporate communication, or community-focused organizational practice is required, with the ability to apply professional experience to teaching and learning.
  • Experience with online or hybrid teaching modalities is required.
  • Experience with industry partnerships, consulting, or collaborations is required.
  • Candidates must be prepared to work with global student populations.
  • The position requires a flexible work schedule that includes presence on the Boston campus, required evening hours, and possible weekend hours.
Responsibilities
  • Teach a variety of graduate courses in the Organizational Leadership and/or Corporate and Organizational Communication degree programs.
  • Engage in curriculum development, program assessment, and integration of emerging trends and practices into academic offerings.
  • Mentor and advise students in their academic and professional development.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with industry partners.
  • Serve on committees supporting the program, College, and University.
  • Promote the discovery and dissemination of knowledge through scholarship, research, creative activity, and professional development.
  • Work with the program office on administrative issues and programmatic projects.
  • Be available to students online and in person as needed.
  • Occasionally travel to the University's global network of campuses.
