What You’ll Do
In this role, you’ll work on our environmental pod supporting our in-person event presence. Reporting to a Senior Brand Designer, you’ll manage and execute a wide variety of design projects that bring our mission to life. You’ll work on:
- Print collateral like one-pagers, case studies, tip sheets and swag artwork
- Booth designs, environmental signage and in-person engagement activations
- Design presentations to accompany speaking events from company thought leaders and influencers
- “Big idea” brand concepts to bring cohesion of our physical presence and make Flatiron a memorable brand in the market
You will have the unique opportunity to work closely with oncologists, nurses, researchers, marketers, data scientists, engineers, and product designers in a collaborative environment while supporting projects across a wide array of creative mediums.
Who You Are
You’re a graphic designer with two years of experience doing graphic design and/or marketing design. You’re excited by the prospect of rolling up your sleeves to tackle meaningful problems each and every day. You’re a kind, passionate and collaborative problem-solver who seeks and gives candid feedback, and values the chance to make an important impact.
- You have 2-3 years experience in design environments; studios, agencies, in-house teams. With highly relevant print design or physical design experience. This is not a product design or web design position
- You have a strong knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, contemporary design tools and practices
- You have excellent command of typography
- You have a portfolio that demonstrates a proven ability to implement technical design skills including ideation, sketching, color theory, design systems, layout and spatial design in scale
- You have demonstrated ability to work autonomously, able to break down complex problems into smaller tasks and proactively define a project’s next steps to meet deadlines
- You are highly detail oriented and organized, this position works against immovable production and print deadlines
