  • 3+ years of experience pricing analytics with a strong preference for eCommerce experience
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college/university
  • Advanced training in statistics, mathematics, analytics, etc. a plus
  • Must have advanced analytical skills - Advanced MS Excel, Looker, Tableau, R, SQL, etc.
  • Ability to tell stories through data, develop and use structured approaches to identify root causes
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet objectives and key deadlines
  • Ability to be available for pricing adjustments on weekends and holidays (case by case basis)
  • Excellent verbal, written, analytical, and problem solving skills

Responsibilities
  • Develop a deep understanding of Gopuff’s business and competitive set specifically around assortment, pricing and overall value proposition
  • Drive competitor data process via third party vendor to increase quantity and quality of data
  • Support the internal teams and external partners by building recurring dashboards and ad hoc reports (Snowflake & Looker)
  • Develop tools to automate and simplify the execution and analysis of pricing
  • Assist cross-functional teams in evaluating three distinct pricing levers: Everyday Pricing, Clearance / Regional Pricing, and Promo Effectiveness
  • Create retail guidelines and manage adherence to rules (nationally and by zone)
  • Leverage price scraping to evaluate market competitiveness across specific categories and regions
  • Manage retail price zones by geography and demographics
  • Ensure new items have correct costs/retails
  • Analyze & address items with outlier margin monthly
  • Assess items with cost/retail changes monthly to verify margin impact
  • Maximize markdown rate (% off) and cadence (timing) by store based on inventory and rate of sale
  • Identify items driving high shrink and reduce by collaborating with category managers to alter assortment, PO quantity, casepack, purchase frequency, etc
  • Create pricing zones based on geography and demographics to maximize sales, margin, acquisition and retention
  • Analyze pre/during/post impact of promotions inclusive of vendor funding
  • Determine optimal promo retail to drive sales, margin, acquisition and retention
