Requirements
- Proven experience of two years in Procurement, Planning, or Logistics.
- Knowledge of planning principles, including stock level, coverage, order point, and lead time.
- A university degree.
- Fluency in Italian and English.
- Experience working with SAP and a good level in Excel.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate the supply of raw materials and packs with suppliers to cover requested production according to material requirements planning and consumption requirements, while considering supplier-specific factors.
- Follow up daily on production and sourcing plans to ensure the appropriate stock and service level.
- Detect and prevent supply risks through timely actions to avoid shortages at the plant.
- Control and optimize stocks according to production needs and avoid overstocks, obsolescence, and supply gaps.
- Evaluate supplier capacity against deliveries and requested needs while considering contract levels negotiated by buyers.
- Coordinate and collaborate with Scheduling and Production Planning teams to follow up production plans and risk assessments.
- Manage system setups to ensure an efficient and optimal sourcing plan, and place purchase orders in the system according to supplier alignments.
- Supervise and validate invoices not automatically approved by the system due to price or quantity differences.
- Manage indirect purchase orders to authorize differences driven by specific costs.
- Identify and implement process and tool initiatives with the team to support continuous improvement.
- Maintain collaborative communication with the team, suppliers, and departments involved in daily tasks, including Purchasing, Sales and Operations, Production Planning, Logistics, Formulation, and Quality.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the pet food, food, or fast-moving consumer goods industry, preferably in wet production environments.
- Specific courses in Procurement, Planning, or Logistics.
