Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage patient home visit scheduling activities for Home Infusion Nursing services.
  • Maintain accurate scheduling documentation within the electronic medical record.
  • Proactively communicate scheduling, staffing, or operational barriers to Clinical Leadership.
  • Provide operational and administrative support for clinical scheduling workflows, staff onboarding coordination, technology access requests, and departmental support functions.
  • Communicate with patients, caregivers, clinicians, leadership, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support customer service and patient experience.
  • Coordinate home visit schedules between patients, nursing staff, and clinical operations teams.
  • Assist in prioritizing and coordinating urgent and time-sensitive infusion starts and ongoing patient care needs.
  • Review daily, weekly, and monthly clinician schedules and communicate staffing, scheduling, or operational concerns to Clinical Leadership.
  • Coordinate onboarding support for new staff, including orientation scheduling, operational readiness tasks, and tracking required onboarding documentation.
  • Submit, track, and follow up on organizational service requests for employee access, technology support, equipment setup, and operational workflow needs.
  • Coordinate electronic device requests, deployment, tracking, replacement, and return processes with organizational support departments.
  • Resolve service issues in assigned units in a timely and respectful manner.
  • Improve workflows affecting the operations of one or more departments.

Beth Israel Lahey Health rolls out Heidi's AI scribing to all physicians after 90% report better patient presence

Beth Israel Lahey Health is rolling out Heidi's ambient AI scribing tool to all its physicians following a successful trial across its facilities. The health system, which serves over 6,000 providers across 14 hospitals and 175 primary care practices, prioritises addressing physician burnout, with nearly half of US physicians reporting burnout. During a six-month trial offering Heidi to 1,000 providers, the majority adopted the technology. Survey results showed 89% were satisfied with note quality, 90% felt more present with patients, 74% reduced after-hours work time, and 82% experienced reduced cognitive load during visits. The implementation demonstrates how ambient AI can deliver immediate relief to physicians whilst benefiting patients and the healthcare system. Heidi supports over 2 million consultations weekly globally and has raised $96.6 million from investors including Point72 Private Investments and Blackbird.
