At least 1–3 years of software development experience, preferably in backend development, and familiarity with basic software development life cycle practices, including Agile development.
Solid programming ability in at least one backend technology such as Java, C# .NET, or Python, with experience building REST APIs, system integrations, and backend services.
Foundational knowledge of both T-SQL databases such as SQL Server and MySQL, as well as NoSQL databases and distributed systems.
Hands-on experience with AI coding development tools such as Claude, Codex, or Kiro.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to break down complex problems, understand requirements, identify root causes, and deliver reliable backend solutions, along with willingness to apply new technologies, including AI, to enhance productivity.
Good English communication skills and teamwork.

Develop reliable and critical services for the payment platform.
Design and develop new features and enhancements for payment subsystems, including transaction processing, merchant services, refunds, settlement, reconciliation, reporting, and partner integration.
Analyze impacts and build APIs, backend services, batch jobs, and system integration components that are compatible with both legacy and new payment platforms.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, DevOps, Business, and support teams, to ensure business requirements are fulfilled.

Description

We are looking for an Engineer, Software Development to join our team in Malaysia. The candidate will support backend development for both existing payment platforms and new payment solutions.

The ideal candidate should have good backend development skills, basic understanding or interest in the payment / fintech / financial domain, good English communication, and willingness to learn and use AI tools to improve software development efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
