Requirements
  • Complete the Cooper IDX training program covering registration, scheduling, E-Commerce, and FSC.
  • Maintain annual eligibility certification.
  • Provide on-site training.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service, strong interpersonal and communication skills, written communication skills, computer literacy, typing skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
  • Have knowledge of patient rights, aseptic and sterile technique, and infection-control best practices.
  • Have reliable transportation and be available to travel to various clinical locations as determined by management.
  • Have a minimum of 1–2 years of experience in clinical operations within a fast-paced physician practice or clinical site, including rooming and triaging patients.
  • Have experience scheduling, registering, and working with an electronic health record, including front-desk knowledge.
  • Have at least 1 year of experience working with IDX and Epic.
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Be a graduate of a Medical Assistant Clinical Training program.
  • Provide current documentation of national certification as an RMA, NCMA, CMA, or CMAC.
  • Hold current Basic Life Support certification.
Responsibilities
  • Function as a supervisor to clinical staff under the direction of the manager of clinic operations.
  • Prepare evaluations, provide input on performance, and administer evaluations.
  • Bring disciplinary matters to the manager.
  • Provide medical assistant support to providers when staffing needs require it.
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and care in accordance with the Patient’s Bill of Rights.
  • Serve as a mentor and role model and display Cooper’s Core Values.
