KCI is one of the more diverse self-performing contractors in the Midwest, with the expertise and ability to successfully perform on a wide range of projects. Any one of us can be found working on a design-build multi-story building one day, then a wastewater plant the next, and highway infrastructure after that.
KCI began in 1922 and is now an employee-owned construction company with offices in St. Louis and Springfield, Missouri. We are a team of builders and problem-solvers, who believe in doing things the right way.

KCI Construction builds roads, bridges, public facilities and commercial buildings for government agencies and private clients across the Midwest. Its work includes water and wastewater infrastructure as well as schools, hospitals and churches. At the Deer Creek Pump Station, it served as general contractor for a facility that pumps stormwater and sewage through deep wells. Clients hire KCI under bid-build construction contracts or use its design-build service to place design and building work with one team, from planning through project completion. Founded in 1922, KCI is headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, with another office in Springfield.
