"Babel Street's targeted and scalable response to novel fraud and threat strategies is a prime example of the disruptive risk and threat intelligence technology we are seeing in the market today," said Sid Dash, Chief Researcher at Chartis. "This is the reason we named the company a Disruptor in the area of Risk Intelligence and Data Management in the RiskTech100 2027 report." For more than two decades, the Chartis RiskTech100 report has recognized the companies defining the future of risk technology. An independent evaluation of the world's top 100 risk technology providers, the annual report is based on rigorous research and deep market expertise that assesses firms on strategic vision, market impact, innovation, customer success, and execution. "Most risk technology starts after a risk has already been identified. Babel Street starts earlier, surfacing and connecting signals across people, organizations, and events, in the languages and regions where risks emerge," said Benji Hutchinson, CEO of Babel Street. "Being named a Disruptor reflects a growing demand for intelligence that helps organizations see risk sooner and act with confidence." Babel Street applies this approach across identity, supplier, and threat intelligence. Most recently, the company announced major advancements to its Identity Risk capabilities, designed to help organizations more accurately determine whether disparate records represent the same person or entity. The enhancements, including regional name-matching intelligence and cross-lingual semantic intelligence, help security and compliance teams reduce false-positives and resolve fragmented identity data at machine-speed across languages and scripts. As agentic AI takes on a growing role in screening, vetting, and investigative workflows, accurate and explainable intelligence becomes even more critical. By combining multilingual data, advanced analytics, and grounded, agentic workflows, Babel Street helps organizations identify risk sooner and make confident, defensible decisions. About Babel Street Babel Street delivers mission-grade risk intelligence for organizations across government, defense, and the private sector to expose hidden identities, secure vendor networks, and identify threats. Babel Street launches new Identity Risk capabilities.

Babel Street launches new Identity Risk capabilities. Babel Street announced advancements to its Identity Risk capabilities centered around accurately determining whether different records represent the same person or entity. Organizations operating in high-stakes environments like global sanctions screening, border security, financial crime compliance and law enforcement investigations are faced with imprecise identity data, the company said. They choose between overly broad matching floods teams that produce false positives and manual reviews, and overly rigid matching that can lead to lapses in security oversight. And as AI agents are integrated into the screening, vetting and investigative process, the challenge is exacerbated. "Agents can operate at machine speed, but the decisions they make are only as trustworthy as the identity data and scoring logic beneath them," Babel Street said in its announcement. "Accurate, explainable identity resolution is critical to whether automated risk intelligence can be relied upon." The company's latest enhancements address this by improving how organizations match names, addresses, dates and full records across more than 20 languages and scripts. The three advancements improve identity matching through regional name intelligence, consolidate duplicate and variant records into a single trusted identity, and give teams field-level control over match scoring. Together, the capabilities are designed to reduce false positives, prevent inflated risk scores and improve confidence in global identity data. "A single missed match can result in a severe compliance breach, while a flood of false positives can paralyze an entire team," said Gil Irizarry, chief innovation officer at Babel Street. "As organizations deploy agentic workflows, they cannot afford to run high-speed AI on noisy or fragmented data. These updates give security and compliance teams the exact precision, control, and data hygiene required to make confident, defensible decisions at scale." The new capabilities are available for enterprise and government deployments.
