What is the Role?
Intersection is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated Advertising Inventory Associate to join our team in Chicago! The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic and driven individual with exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills and 1-2 years of charting, ad agency, or media planning experience. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in tracking, monitoring, and scheduling advertising space for potential campaigns, ensuring the smooth execution of contracted campaigns, and maximizing revenue opportunities. While the role requires the ability to work independently and manage tasks autonomously, candidates should also thrive in a collaborative team environment, where cooperation and shared goals drive success.
Within your first month:
- You will onboard/train with fellow Inventory team members and receive comprehensive training on inventory management processes and key systems (Quattro, CRM, Salesforce.com)
- You will take a deep dive into learning Intersection’s media and advertising offerings
- You will begin to establish relationships with Sales, Client Success, Operations, and other cross-functional teams
- You will independently handle basic availability requests, inventory holds, and work orders
Within your first three-six months:
- You will effectively schedule all potential and contracted advertising campaigns in various internal databases
- You will monitor campaign progress and communicate any issues to the sales team
- You will provide clear and concise product and distribution recommendations based on market and occupancy knowledge
- You will adeptly manage intricate availability requests, inventory holds, and work orders with efficiency and precision
- You will master communication with the Operations team regarding work orders and posting instructions, while also contributing to the scheduling and prioritization of installations and removals
- You will be able to identify challenges or opportunities, troubleshoot issues, make informed decisions to overcome obstacles and shift programs accordingly to maximize inventory and revenue
- You will cross-train with assigned inventory team(s) to help provide backup and assistance when needed

- You have outstanding interpersonal skills and an ability to collaborate effectively with a variety of personalities
- You have 1-2+ years of relevant advertising or media experience or education
- You have a familiarity with Salesforce and G Suite. Any prior knowledge of advertising inventory management systems like Quattro is highly beneficial
- You are adaptable and capable of quickly learning new software and tools as needed
