Our Legal & Compliance team’s goal is to support Zip’s mission of creating a world where people can live fearlessly today by meeting a myriad of ever-changing requirements from a variety of regulatory authorities, banking partners and managing Zip’s risks well within our risk appetite. The L&C team encompasses Financial Crimes & Compliance, Consumer Compliance, Legal, Privacy Testing & Monitoring and Risk Management specialties. We provide legal, regulatory & risk management guidance and support across all business areas at Zip by identifying risk and ensuring compliance with industry standards, relevant laws and regulations, industry best practices and corporate policies. 

As a Senior Analyst, Enterprise Risk you will report into the Senior Manager, Enterprise Risk and contribute to the implementation, embedment, ongoing operationalisation, and monitoring of Zip’s enterprise risk and control management frameworks.

Interesting problems you’ll get to solve

• Using the Zip Risk Management Framework to reinforce risk responsibilities and guide the business in managing risks.
• Operationalising Zip’s Risk Appetite Statement including risk indicators.
• Collaborating and coordinating with functional areas to monitor risk profiles against and actions to be taken.
• Building and strengthening relationships with business stakeholders to aid in identifying risks and control improvements
• Providing expert risk and compliance advice to the business
• Providing guidance to the business on appropriate remediation and treatment plans for addressing incidents and control deficiencies
• Conducting monitoring & testing activities over key processes & controls within the business 
• Reviewing, updating and enhancing risk frameworks, policies and supporting documents
• Identifying and collecting data to form risk insights, including key risk indicators, key control indicators and risk appetite metrics.
• Contributing to reporting provided to Risk Committees (at Management and Board level).
• Risk education, awareness and training
• Promoting Zip’s desired risk culture.

What you’ll bring to the team 

• At least 3-4 years as a Risk Analyst/Manager 
• Experience in financial services/consumer banking, fintech/BNPL (desirable)
• A positive mindset paired with a strong bias to action
• An inquiring mind and be fearless with challenging assumptions and the status quo
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• An ability to build interpersonal relationships with, and influence, key stakeholders across the business
• A can-do attitude

The Pay Range for this position: $125,100.00 - $172,638.00 USD based on the industry benchmark for position, function, level and Zip’s compensation strategies. However, actual base salary will depend on varying circumstances and individualized factors, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. 

Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
