Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or related field
3+ years of experience in mechanical design in thermal / power electronics development
Knowledge in GD&T, tolerance stack up analysis, mechanical stress analysis
Strong familiarity with thermal / power electronics hardware architecture
3 years of CATIA (or equivalent CAD system) solid modeling experience
A wide range of experience in different manufacturing processes such as casting, molding, and bending
Diverse skill set and can-do attitude to contribute on cross-functional tasks
Excellent communication skills and team-working competencies
A self starter requiring minimal oversight

Responsibilities

Monitor vehicle systems integration
Design and release thermal hose routing, including battery and powertrain cooling
Design and release thermal refrigerant lines routing
Mechanical design of electrical components, including casting, sheet metal and plastic molding components, wire routing, bolted joints, and sealing
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the components fit in the vehicle, and ensure the functionality meet the requirement
Develop optimal packaging and mounting strategy for thermal and electrical components
Create detailed drawings of parts and assemblies, including BOM, dimensions, and GD&T
Create manufacturing drawings and provide clear instructions for build and fabrication
Create DVP and coupon testing for components and assemblies
Perform DFMEA studies
Closely work with suppliers for manufacturability and cost effectiveness

Job Overview

As a member of the Vehicle Systems Team, you will be the key in optimally integrating electrical and thermal components.

What You’ll Do:

Who You Are:
