  • Knowledge of southeastern Pennsylvania’s public- and/or private-sector markets, clients, and business environment.
  • Ability to work from Berwyn, Lancaster, or the Lehigh Valley and travel regularly throughout Region 1 and to other company locations as business needs require.
Responsibilities

  • Coach, mentor, and support direct reports and emerging leaders; establish expectations, provide feedback, address performance issues, and build succession and career-development plans.
  • Stay connected to employees across the region, listen to team needs, remove barriers, strengthen engagement and retention, and create opportunities for employees to expand their skills and responsibility.
  • Develop and execute regional growth and business-development plans; strengthen key client relationships, identify must-win pursuits, expand services with existing clients, and build strategic market relationships.
  • Maintain visibility in the regional engineering, municipal, development, transportation, and surveying community and use market knowledge to guide investments, staffing, client pursuits, and office strategy.
  • Guide Municipal services, including engineer-of-record relationships with municipalities, counties, and authorities, as well as water and wastewater engineering services.
  • Own regional financial and operational performance, including annual planning, budgets, sales, backlog, utilization, project performance, staffing, and other key metrics.
  • Foster collaboration across teams, offices, regions, and practices to deploy appropriate expertise, deliver consistent quality, and provide a unified client experience.
  • Provide technical and project leadership on high-profile, complex, or strategically important assignments while ensuring teams follow quality and risk-management practices.
  • Build workforce plans that anticipate business needs, identify capability gaps, support recruiting, and develop future technical, project, and people leaders.
  • Model company core values through transparent decisions, follow-through, accountability, and respect.
Desired Qualifications
  • Leadership experience in an employee-owned, multidisciplinary engineering, surveying, GIS, or related technical-consulting firm.
  • Experience overseeing more than one service line, office, or market and integrating teams around common regional goals.
  • Established relationships in southeastern Pennsylvania and experience with municipal, transportation, land-development, or survey/GIS clients.
  • Experience leading organizational growth or change while maintaining employee engagement, service quality, and financial performance.
