Job Description

TECHNICAL INSTRUCTION SUPPORT SPECIALIST

• Provide training liaison support to Training Division.
• Teaches assigned topics in accordance with approved curriculum effectively utilizing all allotted time, maintains proficiency in instructional techniques, incorporates current examples in the teaching process; develops and maintains classroom techniques that reflect professionalism, good discipline and enhance teaching.
• Assist in the management of the Individual Qualification Records
• Serve as the sole liaison between with the Human Resource Service Center Southeast, which includes but is not limited to coordinating retirement training.
• Serve as the liaison between the Environmental Office and Training Management Office to meet hazardous waste training requirements by coordinating and scheduling classes.
• Maintain technical training requirements.
• Maintain current listings of training course offerings as an on-line catalog of training courses/events.
• Submit written recommendations for curriculum updates to ensure consistency with changes and
• innovations in latest applicable publications or documents
• Provide administrative support and coordination for applicable employee development programs;
• Perform data entry functions by entering completed training into the Training Management System (TMS).

Qualifications

Personnel shall be skilled in the use of a number of commercial software applications.  Personnel shall be skilled in the use of PCs and knowledgeable in the following software applications: Windows, and Microsoft Office with PowerPoint, Excel, Word and MS Outlook Mail. Additionally, personnel shall be capable of acquiring skills in the application of specialized software applications, used in the Training Management Office. Shall be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with personnel at all levels.
