  • A bachelor's degree and 0+ years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Florida Statute 112.219(6).
  • Experience working in education, preferably higher education.
  • Experience in coaching, preferably student coaching.
  • Experience in or understanding of case management.
  • Experience using a customer relationship management system to case manage or track student, client, or customer interactions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Word and Excel, and desktop agent software such as Microsoft Teams.
  • Ability to build positive relationships and collaborate effectively with students, colleagues, and campus partners.
  • Critical thinking, sound judgment, and decision-making skills when addressing student needs and concerns.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professionalism, integrity, and ethical responsibility.
  • Written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, maintain accurate records, and attend to details.
  • Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced, student-centered, and evolving work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a caseload or roster of students and use MyKnightStar to track and monitor student engagements, progress, and success.
  • Use relevant programs and technology to create pathways for persistence, progression, and timely graduation.
  • Develop and implement proactive outreach services focused on retention and student success.
  • Provide holistic support by co-developing success plans with students and empowering them to understand their degree requirements.
  • Analyze students' academic and personal issues and refer students to appropriate campus resource offices.
  • Engage with students to provide accurate and timely information and coaching support from initial enrollment through successful program completion.
  • Provide information and coaching related to recruitment, admissions, residency, orientation, new student requirements, funding resources and financial aid, program requirements, registration, enrollment, payment processes, disability resources, testing accommodations, ongoing success, retention, and graduation.
  • Communicate with students through phone calls, email, face-to-face interactions, and other methods.
  • Support student retention and graduation initiatives.
  • Identify and help resolve barriers that impede academic success.
  • Monitor student progress and performance, analyze problem areas, determine solutions, and conduct intervention activities when needed.
  • Function autonomously as an Academic Success Coach for relevant college programs or student populations.
  • Reinforce the value of coaching through ongoing student relationships and meet productivity and goal expectations set by the unit and university.
  • Serve, at the direction of leadership, as the appointed representative to an academic college and perform related duties associated with college-level retention, progression, graduation, and student success.
  • Implement strategies with the academic college to increase registration and enrollment, promote timely graduation, and meet established outcomes.
  • Assist leadership with developing and coordinating college-based recruiting, outreach, orientation, and ongoing engagement programming in partnership with the academic college.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
