Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement recruitment and yield strategies to attract prospective students and meet enrollment needs.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with students, parents, high school counselors, teachers, and administrators.
  • Provide pre-admission advice and counsel regarding recruitment and admissions processes.
  • Engage prospective students through local, state, and national school events, college fairs, law fairs, and community organizations.
  • Address questions and respond to inquiries from prospective students and applicants through various mediums.
  • Host and assist with establishing and coordinating on-campus programs for prospective students.
  • Represent the University and Miami Law at on-campus, regional, and national events and provide information about academic programs, resources, opportunities, and facilities.
  • Evaluate recruitment strategy effectiveness and recommend program changes and enhancements.
  • Compile, assess, and interpret student data, event outcomes, recruitment trends, and market-area trends, and report findings to senior leadership or as needed.
  • Adhere to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguard University assets.
  • Assist in the preliminary review of applications for all law programs.
  • Support Miami Law's admissions and scholarship interview program.
  • Assist with diversity recruitment initiatives, including coordinating outreach to minority-serving colleges and universities.
  • Provide individual counseling to prospective students and applicants regarding all aspects of the law school application process.
  • Assist in developing, enhancing, advertising, and executing on-campus visits and events, off-campus events, and virtual programming.
  • Serve as a contact for undergraduate student organizations and develop new partnerships with them.
  • Support transfer and visitor Juris Doctor program recruitment efforts.
  • Develop and regularly update the recruiter manual with information about Miami Law programs, faculty developments, University-related news, and other recruitment-critical information.
  • Monitor external websites and social media sites that may impact recruitment efforts and provide regular updates.
  • Assist with special projects and other duties assigned by the Director of Student Recruitment.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Juris Doctor or master's degree is preferred.
  • Experience in a similar academic setting or marketing is preferred.
  • Expertise in the Unite law school customer relationship management system is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency with Unite or ACES2 is preferred.
