Requirements
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience building and administering cloud environments using cloud-native functionality, commercial off-the-shelf, government off-the-shelf, and open-source tools.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code concepts such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep.
  • Experience developing and evaluating security documentation, including system security plans, contingency plans, security procedures, and continuity of operations plans.
  • Experience with security architecture evaluations, guidance development, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with the Risk Management Framework.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • A high school diploma or GED and 7+ years of experience supporting IT projects and activities, an Associate’s degree and 5+ years of experience, a Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree and 1+ years of experience.
  • Ability to obtain a DoD 8570.01-M Cybersecurity Service Provider—Infrastructure Support certification, including an approved certification such as Certified Ethical Hacker, Cybersecurity Analyst, Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional, Systems Security Certified Practitioner, Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator, Cybersecurity Forensic Responder, Cloud+, or Certified Network Defender, within 30 days of offer acceptance.
  • Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT Level III certification such as SecurityX, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP or CISSP Associate, GCED, GCIH, or CCSP within 45 days of the CSSP-IS certification date or offer acceptance if already certified.
Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and support documentation, validation, assessment, and accreditation processes to ensure information technology systems meet information assurance and security requirements.
  • Assist in defining organizations’ desired states and risk thresholds and analyze actual-state information to assess compliance.
  • Advise leaders on codifying strategic objectives into doctrine and procedures.
  • Evaluate computer applications, software, and specialized utility programs to determine whether software assurance best practices are followed.
  • Recommend tools and capabilities based on research of the current environment and knowledge of on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid resources.
  • Implement cloud security architectures, tools, and processes.
  • Work with Intelligence Community clients to ensure standards meet security requirements.
  • Collaborate with cloud security experts to secure customer environments.
