HealthSherpa helps individuals and families find and enroll in Affordable Care Act (ACA) health insurance plans through a free online platform. Users can quickly check if they qualify for savings, receive personalized plan recommendations, and compare plan features such as doctor networks, prescription coverage, and total costs. The platform is designed to be unbiased: commissions paid by insurers on enrollments do not influence which plans are shown or recommended. The service operates year-round and provides additional support to help users understand and use their chosen plans. HealthSherpa's goal is to make affordable ACA coverage easy to find and enroll in, with clear comparisons and guidance.

What believers are saying

  • AgencyBloc launched a HealthSherpa Medicare integration on August 4, 2026, widening agency reach.
  • HealthSherpa added self-serve webhooks, carrier status sync, and broker CRM integrations in June 2026.
  • Substack and other partners funnel new consumers into HealthSherpa’s marketplace without paid acquisition.

What critics are saying

  • Enhanced subsidies expired January 1, 2026; premium shock cuts ACA enrollment and commission volume.
  • Florida banned NPN Override in 2026, and CMS rules now require SSNs on linked enrollments.
  • Carrier exits and hostile partners like Oscar can bypass HealthSherpa, shrinking distribution fast.

What makes HealthSherpa unique

  • HealthSherpa runs ACA enrollment plus Medicare, with FMO-neutral workflows and multi-carrier data.
  • The platform embeds compliance: CMS training, EDE support, and policy-change tooling updated July 2026.
  • Member Defense Network integration tackles unauthorized ACA switching, a problem competitors ignore.

AgencyBloc and HealthSherpa launch Medicare integration to streamline quoting and enrollment workflows

AgencyBloc, a leading agency management system for health, senior and benefits insurance agencies, has launched an integration with HealthSherpa, a quoting and enrollment platform. The integration connects Medicare quoting, enrollment and client management workflows, enabling two-way data flow between HealthSherpa for Medicare and AMS+. The integration aims to reduce duplicate data entry and keep client information centralised. Agencies can manage quoting and enrollment through HealthSherpa whilst maintaining client and policy data within AMS+ for reporting and operations. The HealthSherpa for Medicare integration is available now. AgencyBloc plans to expand the integration to support Individual ACA workflows in future.
