Requirements
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
A current California registered nurse license.
At least two years of registered nurse office practice experience.
Infusion experience.
Proof of current vaccinations, including recommended boosters, commonly required for those working with immunocompromised patients: measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis A and B, influenza, and COVID-19.
Responsibilities
Place peripheral lines, including peripherally inserted central catheter lines, for new patients; teach infusion patients how to self-administer medications; and document this in the medical record.
Review and chart daily laboratory results, passing information to physicians and/or patients as needed.
E-prescribe prescriptions at a doctor's order and communicate with pharmacies.
Receive and return patient and other telephone calls.
Review electronic medical record charts for next-day appointments, ordering laboratory results, consultation reports, or notes as necessary, and document that all required fields are completed within the electronic medical record for meaningful use eligibility.
Respond to telephone calls, meet patients in the office, and schedule patients to come to the office as needed.
Participate in quality assurance and educational activities as requested.
Use clinical judgment in evaluation activities to meet patient care needs and establish priorities.
Monitor the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment.
Participate in activities that facilitate good interpersonal communications within the facility.
Support professional practice by observing Standards of Nursing Practice, JCAHO requirements, state and local laws, and Metro Infectious Disease Consultants policy.
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.

Metro Infectious Disease Consultants is seeking a Registered Nurse for supervision and administration of infusion therapy 4 days/week at the clinic located in Thousand Oaks, CA

Specific Duties:
