Syntegon introduces high-performance corner sealing for SVX VFFS platform. April 21, 2026 Syntegon has expanded its SVX vertical form, fill and seal (VFFS) platform with a new corner seal capability, extending the range of premium bag formats that can be produced on a single machine. The development, to be showcased at interpack 2026, introduces corner sealed block-bottom, Full Corner and Doypack styles, positioning the SVX system to address increasing demand for flexible, high-end packaging formats. The Stuttgart-based company is targeting applications in confectionery, snacks and bakery, where shelf appeal and pack stability are critical. Corner seal formats, while visually distinctive, are widely regarded as technically demanding due to their sensitivity to alignment and process variation. Syntegon's latest configuration focuses on maintaining process consistency while reducing operator intervention. The company states that the SVX system can achieve speeds of up to 120 bags per minute in corner seal applications, a performance level it positions as a benchmark within this segment. To reach these speeds, Syntegon has introduced an automatic axial adjustment system that continuously controls the film reel position. This additional control loop enables the machine to compensate for minor deviations during operation, maintaining consistent seal placement.
