- Education in fashion, fashion design, industrial garment manufacturing, or a related career is desirable.
- At least one year of experience in similar positions in haute couture or bridal wear.
- Proficiency in fine sewing techniques, fitting, corset construction, and handling delicate materials.
- Strong command of sewing machinery, including straight-stitch and overlock machines.
- Haute couture quality control experience.
- Exceptional attention to detail and focus on impeccable finishes.
- Supervise and coordinate the team of seamstresses, patternmakers, and embroiderers.
- Organize the workshop workflow and assign tasks according to priorities and delivery dates.
- Verify quality at every stage of the process, including cutting, assembly, sewing, alterations, and finishing.
- Conduct fitting sessions with brides or coordinate with customer service to ensure a perfect fit.
- Review and approve patterns, layouts, and sewing techniques.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, timelines, and work methods.
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, organization, and safety standards in the workshop.
