Space42 commits $1.7B to go global, aiming to double revenue to $600M by 2030

Abu Dhabi-based Space42 has committed about $1.7 billion to new projects as it seeks customers beyond the UAE. The satellite and AI company wants to double revenue to $600 million by 2030. Today, 90% of its revenue comes from the UAE and about 80% from government clients. Managing director Karim Sabbagh expects both ratios to move toward 70/30 within five years. In the first half of 2026, revenue rose 15% year-on-year to $260 million, with $18 million in profit. Last month, Space42 signed a binding deal with US firm Viasat to create Equatys, a shared platform linking phones directly to satellites. Space42 will commit $600 million and Viasat $400 million. It is due to launch by 2029. Sabbagh said the company may raise its spending plan, with a decision due at its investor day next month.

Viasat enhances JetXP business aviation in-flight connectivity solution.

Viasat enhances JetXP business aviation in-flight connectivity solution. Viasat has announced a major enhancement to its JetXP business aviation in-flight connectivity solution, featuring a simplified service plan structure for different usage levels and suggested retail pricing for the first time. The company's JetXP business aviation in-flight connectivity solution is already activated on more than 2,100 aircraft worldwide. Viasat is showcasing the solution at the National Business Aviation Association Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (NBAA-BACE) in Las Vegas, October 20-22, 2026, at West Hall booth 2035. According to Viasat, the new portfolio introduces three service tiers from a light-use option to unlimited connectivity, available across Honeywell Aerospace's JetWave and JetWave X and Gogo's Plane Simple Ka terminals. The new tiers have been designed to deliver improved value at each level, with more competitive pricing than before, and reflect the expanded capacity now available across Viasat's global network. Manufacturer Suggested Retail Prices are also being published for all service plans using the JetWave X and Plane Simple Ka terminals, giving operators a consistent, publicly available reference point when evaluating in-flight connectivity options and estimating costs. They start from under $11,000 per month for an unlimited connectivity plan, with fixed retail pricing for the entire term of the service agreement, providing greater cost certainty to operators. Viasat says it developed the plans in consultation with Viasat's partners and customers who made clear that private jet owners, flight departments, charter operators, and fleet managers needed a simpler way to select the right level of connectivity for their needs and to understand exactly what it costs. The announcement follows a landmark entry into service of ViaSat-3 F2 across the Americas in September 2026 and F3 across Asia-Pacific a month earlier. According to the company, ViaSat-3 constellation is now fully operational, joining F1 to triple the bandwidth available across Viasat's global fleet. "Business aviation operators have told us clearly that they want in-flight connectivity they can rely on and pricing they can plan around," said Don Buchman, President of Aviation, Viasat. With its most advanced global satellites now fully operational, Inflight can offer both. At a time when operators are navigating unpredictable pricing elsewhere in the market, offering fixed-term plans with suggested retail pricing reinforces its commitment to being a partner operators can continue to trust, not just for performance, but for certainty."

Viasat introduces three service tiers for JetXP connectivity.

Viasat introduces three service tiers for JetXP connectivity. By Izzy Kington 16th October 2026 2 Mins Read Viasat has announced a new service plan structure for its JetXP business aviation inflight connectivity service. For the first time, it is also publishing suggested retail pricing. There will be three tiers, ranging from a light-use option to unlimited connectivity, available across Honeywell Aerospace's JetWave and JetWave X and Gogo's Plane Simple Ka terminals. Viasat said pricing on the new tiers is more competitive than before and reflects the added capacity now available across its global network. Manufacturer suggested retail prices (MSRPs) are being published for all service plans using the JetWave X and Plane Simple Ka terminals. The MSRPs start from under US$11,000 per month for an unlimited connectivity plan, and retail pricing is fixed for the full term of the service agreement. The new plans and suggested retail pricing take effect on 1 January 2027. Details of all MSRPs are available on the Viasat website. Viasat said the plans were developed with its partners and customers, who reported that private jet owners, flight departments, charter operators and fleet managers "needed a simpler way to select the right level of connectivity for their needs and to understand exactly what it costs". The change follows the completion of the ViaSat-3 constellation. ViaSat-3 F2 entered service over the Americas in September 2026, F3 having entered service across Asia-Pacific a month earlier. Together with F1, they triple the bandwidth available across Viasat's global fleet. All three satellites use beamforming technology that can dynamically follow aircraft across the coverage area. "Business aviation operators have told us clearly that they want inflight connectivity they can rely on and pricing they can plan around," said Don Buchman, president of aviation at Viasat. "With our most advanced global satellites now fully operational, we can offer both. At a time when operators are navigating unpredictable pricing elsewhere in the market, offering fixed-term plans with suggested retail pricing reinforces our commitment to being a partner operators can continue to trust, not just for performance, but for certainty." JetXP is active on more than 2,100 aircraft worldwide. Viasat will showcase the solution at NBAA-BACE 2026 in Las Vegas on 20-22 October, at West Hall booth 2035.

ALL.SPACE secures Viasat order for Hydra MAX SATCOM terminals.

ALL.SPACE secures Viasat order for Hydra MAX SATCOM terminals. This follows a strategic partnership between the two companies earlier this year to integrate, test and certify ALL.SPACE's Hydra terminal range for use on Viasat's Ka-band network. ALL.SPACE, a York Space Systems company specialising in multi-orbit, multi-link satellite communications (SATCOM), has secured an order from Viasat for multiple Hydra MAX terminals, marking a commercial milestone following the launch of its second-generation terminal range. The order reflects growing demand for resilient, high-capacity satellite communications systems capable of operating across complex network architectures. It also highlights interest in flexible and interoperable SATCOM solutions among government and defence users requiring reliable connectivity while operating in challenging environments. Hydra MAX enables simultaneous connectivity across multiple independent satellite links and commercial and military Ka-band networks spanning highly elliptical orbit (HEO), geostationary orbit (GEO), medium Earth orbit (MEO) and emerging low Earth orbit (LEO) constellations. Based on ALL.SPACE's lens-array digital beamforming technology, the terminal supports high-performance beam scanning and communications on the move across land and maritime platforms. The system offers up to 500MHz of instantaneous bandwidth per beam and 1GHz of aggregate bandwidth in the Ka-band, supporting mission-critical communications for mobile command operations and land and maritime applications. Its intelligent link management and policy-based routing capabilities allow operators to direct traffic across available connections to help maintain performance in degraded or bandwidth-constrained network conditions. The latest order builds on the collaboration between ALL.SPACE and Viasat to expand assured Ka-band connectivity for government and defence customers. Hydra MAX is now operational on Viasat's NextGen Ka-band network, providing access to its global infrastructure, including military Ka-band services, while extending the flexibility of ALL.SPACE’s multi-orbit architecture. Designed for resilience, Hydra MAX combines resistance to jamming with an open architecture that supports interoperability across different satellite networks and vendors. This approach is intended to reduce dependence on a single provider or orbital system while enabling reliable connectivity across current and future SATCOM infrastructures. Rod McCurdy, CEO of ALL.SPACE, said: "This order reflects the strong market response to Hydra MAX since its commercial launch and underscores growing demand for resilient, multi-orbit connectivity among government and defense users. With Hydra MAX now approved to operate on Viasat's global integrated Ka-band network, customers can combine the benefits of Viasat's assured global infrastructure with ALL.SPACE's true simultaneous multi-link capability to maintain high-integrity communications wherever resilient connectivity is required." Vic Farah, Senior Vice President, Government Services and Solutions, Viasat, added: "Government and defense users need communications solutions that are resilient, flexible, and ready to perform in demanding operating environments. Hydra MAX operations on Viasat's global NextGen Ka-band network, combined with its advanced multi-link, multi-orbit capability, provides a powerful solution for mobile users who require assured, high-performance connectivity." The companies said the order demonstrates how network integration and interoperability can translate into operational capabilities for government and defence users conducting missions in contested environments while on the move. ALL.SPACE's terminal technology also contributes to York Space Systems' broader mission ecosystem, which combines spacecraft platforms, ground infrastructure and software to deliver integrated solutions for government and commercial customers. Its terminals extend satellite connectivity to mobile and unmanned platforms across land, sea and air, supporting coordinated missions and the operation of unmanned fleets at scale.
