About the Job

Requirements

  • Experience building and leading communications functions at mission-driven technology companies, government-facing organizations, or in a senior agency role supporting high-profile clients.
  • Earned media expertise, including a track record of placing stories in top-tier national outlets and building durable relationships with journalists covering technology, public safety, and policy.
  • Experience delivering communications outcomes that build trust with government agency partners, where credibility, consistency, and careful message management are essential.
  • Experience in executive communications and media coaching, preparing CEOs and senior leaders for press, public appearances, and high-stakes stakeholder engagements.

  • Experience being a senior management member and working alongside other senior operators to advance a mission-driven cause.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the communications strategy shaping how the world understands LENS, including who the organization is, what it does, and why it matters.
  • Own the LENS narrative across media, government, and the public, ensuring messages to journalists, policymakers, government officials, and the broader public safety community are clear, credible, and mission-reinforcing; work with Marketing and Customer teams to convert credibility into mission impact.
  • Build and lead earned media strategy, developing relationships with journalists, producers, and outlets covering AI, public safety, transportation, and technology, and turn LENS's real-world impact into stories that build institutional trust and public awareness.
  • Prepare and coach leadership for public appearances, including press interviews, congressional testimony, conference keynotes, and policy forums, to advance LENS's credibility with relevant audiences.
  • Build and maintain rapid-response capability so LENS can comment quickly and credibly on breaking news in AI, public safety, and traffic incidents, bringing the mission into ongoing conversations.

About the Company

LENS

SaaS platform for third-party risk management

Lens provides governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) software, specializing in third-party and vendor risk management for enterprises, especially in finance and large corporate sectors. Its flagship Lens RM centralizes vendor data, uses a central ledger, supports workflow management, assessment checklists, and security features to digitize risk assessments, with AI features being added to augment capabilities. Lens sets itself apart through deep domain expertise in financial and fintech risk management and a clear focus on third‑party risk across large organizations, rather than broad consumer-focused tools. Its goal is to simplify and strengthen risk governance for complex vendor ecosystems, helping organizations efficiently assess, monitor, and respond to vendor risks while scaling risk management as outsourcing and cloud usage grows.
