About the company

Lens develops a Japanese SaaS platform that provides governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) solutions for third-party and vendor risk management. Its flagship Lens RM centralizes vendor data, supports workflow management and risk assessments, and adds security features to digitize outsourcing, cloud, and internal-project reviews. The platform uses a central vendor ledger and defined processes to streamline supplier risk oversight, with AI augmentation added recently. Lens targets large enterprises on a B2B subscription basis, leveraging deep financial and fintech risk expertise to simplify and strengthen risk governance as outsourcing and cloud usage grow.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Lens won Resona Group in March 2026, expanding beyond early adopters.
  • Lens won GMO Aozora in February 2026, reinforcing banking traction.
  • The February 2025 JPY 844 million seed round funds product and sales expansion.

What critics are saying

  • ServiceNow, OneTrust, and Archer bundle broader platforms, squeezing Lens on enterprise deals.
  • Bank sales cycles stay long; one delayed renewal hits a tiny 2022 startup.
  • A single security failure would kill trust and end its regulated-finance thesis.

What makes LENS unique

  • Lens RM targets Japanese third-party risk workflows, not generic GRC suites.
  • AI-assisted reviews and Nth-party ledgers fit regulated Japanese financial audits.
  • Resona and GMO Aozora validate product-market fit with banks.
