  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in drafting or enforcing policy for an online platform or engagement with public policy issues in technology, government, law or online.
  • 5 years of experience in a policy, legal, Trust & Safety, or technology environment.
  • Experience working with global teams and communicating with stakeholders cross-functionally and experience engaging in and discussing sensitive or controversial areas.
  • Exceptional written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and update our global policies across Strava, and understand and communicate the risk landscape and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify gaps, create new policies, and ensure consistent enforcement.
  • Work across teams to incorporate diverse perspectives.
  • Address policy concerns from users and stakeholders and drive research and set industry standards.
  • Evaluate the risk profile of new products and features. Influence cross-functional stakeholders and company executives regarding proposed content policy efforts.
  • Negotiate and find optimal policy solutions balancing safety and product reach and growth objectives, and work with teams to ensure effective operationalization of global policies.
  • Propose new strategies and policies to improve the Trust & Safety product market fit to the evolving needs as well as our ability to scale our enforcement.
  • Understand and clearly communicate the policy challenges and needs presented by new features and emerging global online content risks.
