- Credentialing as a Medical Assistant from an approved Munson Healthcare Credentialing Organization is required for credentialed Medical Assistant candidates.
- Non-credentialed candidates must have one year of relevant experience in a physician practice or similar healthcare setting in provider or patient support, or graduate from a Medical Assistant Program approved by Munson Healthcare.
- Basic Life Support certification is preferred and must be obtained within 90 days of hire and maintained.
- Employees must be vaccinated or have laboratory-confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella.
- Employees must receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year they are hired and annually thereafter, unless they receive an approved medical or religious exemption.
- Complete clinical and administrative tasks within the clinic.
- Work alongside the provider to support patient care and smooth clinic operations.
- Serve as the first point of patient care within the clinic.
- Room and prepare patients according to clinic-specific checklists or procedures.
- Measure patient weight, height, oxygen saturation, respiration, temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other patient-care metrics as required by the clinic.
- Complete required patient-care documentation, including medical histories and referral requests.
- Assist with day-to-day clinic operations, including supporting fellow teammates and providers when necessary.
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Basic Life Support certification is preferred.
