Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Project Management or a related Engineering Discipline.
  • One to three years of experience with project management, preferably harness-related.
  • Must be willing to travel.
  • Some projects require regular communication with overseas contacts during non-standard work hours.
Responsibilities
  • Develop the project Master Plan, including the overview and key targets or key performance indicators, to kick off the project.
  • Hold the project kick-off meeting, review the Master Plan, confirm supporting members, and initiate the overall timing plan.
  • Develop and maintain the Project Master or Development Schedule by coordinating regular meetings and confirming that actions are completed according to milestones.
  • Act as liaison between Wiring Harness Development, manufacturing locations, and related departments by sharing key information.
  • Issue and maintain important project engineering information, including specification lists and new component lists, throughout the project.
  • Report project status against planned timing and targets to internal upper management members and key customer contacts at designated times.
  • Provide timely responses to customer surveys and questions regarding project status.
  • Travel occasionally to customer and internal engineering or manufacturing locations to support preparation meetings or build events.
  • Prepare the Project Reflection Summary at the conclusion of each project for use in future projects and potential customer awards.
  • Support new business competition activities for Toyota projects by coordinating the competition schedule and activities leading to a final quote submission and technical presentation.
