AmeriVet coordinates a network of veterinary clinics across the United States by acquiring majority stakes (about 70%) in established practices through a joint-venture model, while the original veterinarians keep a minority stake and retain clinical control over patient care. It provides centralized operational support—marketing, human resources, recruitment, payroll, and procurement—leveraging its buying power to lower costs so vets can focus on medicine and patient care. Unlike full buyouts common in consolidators, AmeriVet preserves ownership and clinical autonomy and scales through a services-based model rather than just acquiring assets. Its goal is to help established veterinary practices grow and transition toward retirement by offering growth capital and scalable operations while preserving the veterinarians’ ownership, control over care, and the future of the practice.
