Requirements

Certification from a dental college, three to six months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
Arizona X-Ray certification is required.
Current BLS certification is required.
Arizona Coronal Polish certification is required.
Arizona Sealant certification is required.

Responsibilities

Assist the doctor during procedures.
Take x-rays.
Take IO's.
Assist with prophylaxis teeth cleaning.
Instruct patients on oral hygiene.
Chart cavities and teeth with the doctor.
Sterilize instruments.
Set up, break down, and prepare rooms for treatment and hygiene.
Chart patients' treatment and treatment plans with the doctor.

Dental Assistant

Summary:The Dental Assistant supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the Arizona dental standards.

Responsibilities

Assists the doctor in procedures
Takes x-rays
Takes IO's
Assist in Prophylaxis cleaning of teeth
Instructs patients on oral hygiene
Charts cavities and teeth with doctor

Sets up/breakdown and prepares rooms for treatment/hygiene
Charting of patient's treatment and treatment plan with doctor

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

Certification from a dental college OR three to six months related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred

Required Certificates or Licenses:
