About the job
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of cloud technology experience, demonstrating progression from engineering into architectural design.
- Deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash, and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
- Strategic thinking and communication skills, including the ability to influence C-level stakeholders.
- Experience with container orchestration such as Kubernetes and serverless architecture.
- Active Google Cloud certifications, or willingness to obtain them within one month of joining.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Design scalable Google Cloud Platform solutions that meet compliance standards.
- Design secure, resilient, and scalable network topologies and strategies, including VPC design, subnet routing, and disaster recovery for mission-critical systems.
- Design, optimize, or develop solutions using appropriate cloud services and integrate them with third-party systems.
- Translate business needs from client leadership and other stakeholders into technical requirements, and work with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to support accurate deployments.
- Create and deploy effective, efficient, and safe agentic capabilities and workflows.
- Monitor industry trends and introduce technologies and tools that can improve solutions.
- Design cost-optimized architectures and implement FinOps best practices.
- Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
- Experience leading multi-tenant cloud foundations and cloud migrations.
- Experience designing secure landing zones with guardrails, organization policies, and multi-project structures.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP and HIPAA, and with security strategies.
- Knowledge of how cloud architecture affects the deployment of decentralized technologies and agentic workflows.
