About the job
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience is required.
- At least 5 years of experience in cloud technology, showing progression from engineering into architectural design, is required.
- Deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform is required.
- Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform is required.
- Strategic thinking and communication skills, including the ability to influence C-level stakeholders, are required.
- Experience with Kubernetes container orchestration and serverless architecture is required.
- Active Google Cloud certifications are required, or the candidate must be willing to obtain them within one month of joining.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Lead the design of scalable Google Cloud Platform solutions while satisfying stringent compliance standards.
- Design secure, resilient, and scalable network topologies and strategies for VPC design, subnet routing, and disaster recovery for mission-critical systems.
- Design, optimize, or develop cloud solutions and their integrations with third-party systems.
- Translate business needs from client leadership and other stakeholders into technical requirements for implementation.
- Work with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and optimal deployments.
- Create and deploy effective, efficient, and safe agentic capabilities and workflows.
- Introduce new technologies and tools that can improve end solutions.
- Design cost-optimized architectures and implement FinOps best practices.
- Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
- Experience leading multi-tenant cloud foundations and cloud migrations.
- Experience designing secure landing zones with guardrails, organization policies, and multi-project structures.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP and HIPAA and with security strategies.
- Knowledge of how cloud architecture affects the deployment of decentralized technologies and agentic workflows.
