HERE Tour Planning upgrade introduces mixed fleet optimization for EVs and use of AI predictive intelligence for better planning and compliance

HERE Tour Planning upgrade introduces mixed fleet optimization for EVs and use of AI predictive intelligence for better planning and compliance. Las Vegas, NV - As logistics operators contend with rising traffic congestion, tighter delivery windows, labor constraints and accelerating fleet electrification, HERE Technologies, the leading digital mapping and location data company, today announced a new suite of premium capabilities for HERE Tour Planning. The latest enhancements to HERE Tour Planning are designed to help transportation and logistics operators with the EV transition across the last-mile, while improving planning accuracy, adherence to regulations and navigating dynamic delivery environments. According to ABI Research, the commercial electric vehicle market is anticipated to grow by 19.4% year-over-year through 2032, with light and medium commercial vehicles in the middle and last-mile sector leading the charge. Tightening urban emission mandates, along with major advancements in EV technology, are key drivers of adoption. These features support the integration of electric vehicles into fleets, helping companies adopt sustainable transportation options without compromising efficiency. "Static route planning doesn't reflect the reality fleets face today," said Bart Coppelmans, Senior Director of Product Management atHERE Technologies. "With new variables emerging, increasing complexity and electric vehicles becoming part of daily operations, logistics providers need richer features that tailor optimization to their specific business metrics, KPIs and SLAs." "Over time, EVs have been delivering longer ranges and significantly lower total cost of ownership," said Adhish Luitel, Research Director at ABI Research. "As businesses accelerate their transition to electric fleets to improve sustainability and efficiency, the need for EV route planning solutions that can account for the complexities of each EV as well as various external nuances continues to grow." HERE Tour Planning uniquely combines AI-powered predictive intelligence with EV-ready optimization in a single, integrated planning tool. HERE Technologies and Hyundai AutoEver expand online navigation partnership to deliver intelligent, digital cockpit experiences

HERE Technologies and Hyundai AutoEver expand online navigation partnership to deliver intelligent, digital cockpit experiences. * HERE enables Hyundai AutoEver's connected mobility vision, providing location services that support software-defined vehicle capabilities. * Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis vehicles are equipped with up-to-date, real-time, and user-focused map content, supporting safer and smarter travel. At CES 2026, HERE Technologies, the leading mapping and location data company, and Hyundai AutoEver (HAE), the mobility software subsidiary of Hyundai Motor Group, announce the expansion of their online navigation partnership. HERE sets the standard for automotive-grade maps globally and partners with the industry to define the future of the software-defined vehicle. According to Counterpoint Research, a global market research firm, HERE has ranked No. 1 in the global location platform market for eight consecutive years. In collaboration with Hyundai AutoEver, HERE provides navigation map data for the infotainment platforms of Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis vehicles sold in North America. Leveraging HERE map data, Hyundai AutoEver enables map updates for its online navigation system, incorporating location intelligence including new roads, speed limits, and points of interest. As a result of this partnership, Hyundai AutoEver has shortened its map data update cycle by more than fivefold. By leveraging HERE's highly accurate map data, the company has built a faster update framework for newly added roads and updated location information, delivering more accurate and timely navigation guidance to drivers. This milestone brings advanced connected vehicle and real-time location services to over a million Hyundai, Kia and Genesis vehicles equipped with ccNC (Connected Car Navigation Cockpit) and ccIC27 (Connected Car Integrated Cockpit) infotainment platforms, starting with North America and Australia - offering greater navigation experience and map freshness. Lucid Air, Gravity EVs Get a Much-Needed Map Update

Lucid Air, Gravity EVs get a much-needed map update. Lucid has long struggled with the homemade navigation system in its EVs. With the Gravity SUV now selling in larger numbers, the California-based car startup is working on improving the software user experience in its luxury cars. At CES on Monday, mapping company HERE announced a new partnership with Lucid detailing how its location technology aims to improve basic navigation, route planning, and advanced driving features in the EV maker's two-vehicle lineup, which features the Air sedan and Gravity SUV. Both Lucid models display the UX 3.0 digital cockpit. The simplest fix is EV routing. Tesla owners will be quite familiar with this experience and take for granted the calculations of range, road conditions, and battery state for route planning and charging stops. HERE says it will also incorporate charging type (fast or the slower Level 2) into route and charging planning. For advanced driving features, better mapping means better location data. Lucid's DreamDrive system is a hands-free driving assistant that can be used on certain highways to make automatic lane changes. Using HERE's mapping software will add improved location info to help with adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane departures, and other highway driving warnings. HERE also feeds data to Lucid's Intelligent Speed Assistance feature, which shows speed limits in real-time. A Lucid Gravity with its updated navigation features is on display at the show.
