About the job

Requirements
  • At least 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, security operations, security architecture, or security consulting, including senior leadership.
  • Experience operating as a CISO, deputy CISO, SOC leader, security operations executive, or senior security architect, with credibility engaging CISOs, CIOs, and hands-on practitioners.
  • A track record leading change management and helping security organizations adopt new operating models and workflows while bringing stakeholders along.
  • Deep command of SOC operating models and maturity, security information and event management (SIEM), security orchestration, automation and response (SOAR), managed detection and response (MDR), detection, investigation, response, and security automation.
  • Ability to assess complex enterprise environments and scope integrations, connectors, workflows, tuning, and customizations at the right level of detail.
  • Experience leading consultative engagements with senior security stakeholders and turning business goals into measurable outcomes, success criteria, and phased plans.
  • Ability to simplify complex topics for executives without losing practitioners, with clear writing and speaking.
  • A consultative, evidence-driven approach to listening, diagnosing, and constructively challenging assumptions in a way that builds trust.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and early-stage operating models, and ability to build reusable frameworks.
  • Willingness to stay hands-on in technical discovery, platform walkthroughs, workflow design, and live case discussions, and to learn the platform well enough to demonstrate it credibly.
Responsibilities
  • Engage on strategic or complex pre-sales deals and help carry them to a technical and executive win.
  • Scope solutions around the customer's path, including replacing an MDR or MSSP, automating or transforming SOC operations, or displacing a legacy SIEM or SOAR.
  • Define the target operating model, maturity baseline, first use case, and roadmap, planned backward from the customer's strategic deadline.
  • Diagnose complex customer environments, identify architectural, operational, and organizational gaps, and challenge assumptions constructively.
  • Identify and document advisory opportunities that create immediate value, such as licensing optimization, tool consolidation, and detection engineering improvements.
  • Lead executive security conversations and SOC transformation workshops, translating technical pain into business outcomes.
  • Drive adoption, customer satisfaction, and referenceability across advised accounts.
  • Ensure each customer's journey is executing well across the account team and intervene when outcomes are at risk.
  • Build and refine reusable playbooks, frameworks, and transformation models.
  • Mentor the solutions engineers worked alongside and raise the consultative bar across the post-sales team.
  • Bring customer insight to Product, R&D, Services, and Sales to shape the roadmap, workflows, and enablement; route deep implementation work to the appropriate engineering teams rather than owning it.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior experience as a CISO, deputy CISO, or enterprise SOC leader, ideally with at least 15 years in cybersecurity and 6 years leading a large enterprise SOC.
  • A degree in cybersecurity or information systems.
  • A track record designing or leading SOC transformation, operating model change, or security modernization programs.
  • Experience facilitating executive workshops, roadmap reviews, quarterly business reviews (QBRs), or board-level security discussions.
  • Exposure to managed security service provider (MSSP) or multi-tenant service provider delivery models.
  • Familiarity with AI-driven or agentic security operations and federated SIEM approaches.
  • Experience creating reusable security strategies, operating models, playbooks, or transformation intellectual property.
  • Experience advising across several strategic accounts at once without becoming the permanent account owner.

About the company

7AI builds an agentic security platform that uses AI to act autonomously in real time to defend against cyber threats. Its product, the 7AI Agentic Security Platform, leverages the speed, coordination (swarming), and computational power of AI to make decisions and take actions without human input in order to reach predefined cybersecurity goals. Unlike traditional security tools that require human-led responses, 7AI's agents operate autonomously to detect, respond to, and neutralize threats. The platform aims to give defenders an advantage by enabling rapid, coordinated actions across environments. The company differentiates itself through its autonomous agentic approach, created by renowned cybersecurity experts and backed by major investors, to move beyond manual or semi-automated defense and toward end-to-end autonomous security operations.

What believers are saying

  • 7AI launched PLAID ELITE on May 26, 2026, broadening managed AI-native SOC revenue.
  • Channel pipeline grew 6.5x in three quarters, and partners now drive nearly 45% of pipeline.
  • AWS Marketplace, ISV Accelerate, and Security Hub Extended materially improve distribution and enterprise credibility.

What critics are saying

  • Dropzone AI, Prophet Security, Exaforce, and Radiant Security attack the same autonomous SOC buyer.
  • 7AI still lacks a separate GA date for Federated SIEM and Build after Black Hat 2026.
  • AWS co-selling and partner deals create platform dependence; a partner shift would slow pipeline quickly.

What makes 7AI unique

  • 7AI separates detection from storage with Federated SIEM across existing customer systems.
  • Its AI agents completed nine million investigations, returning over one million analyst hours.
  • 7AI Build lets partners create custom agentic workflows and AI-native security services.

7AI launches federated SIEM and Build platform for AI-native security operations

7AI has launched Federated SIEM and 7AI Build at Black Hat USA 2026. The new capabilities allow security teams to query and investigate data wherever it lives, rather than centralising everything in a SIEM. Federated SIEM enables teams to access data across multiple locations, including 7AI's platform and existing customer systems. 7AI Build lets enterprises and partners create custom agentic workflows and AI-native security services. CEO Lior Div said three in five customers want to stop consolidating data into SIEMs. The platform builds a context graph for each customer environment, connecting federated data access with enterprise insights. In its first year, 7AI's agents have completed over nine million investigations, returning more than one million analyst hours to security teams.

7AI launches global partner programme as channel pipeline grows 6.5x in three quarters

7AI has launched a global partner programme designed to scale its AI-driven security operations through ecosystem collaboration. The Boston-based company named Zachary Kilpatrick as Senior Vice President, Global Alliances to lead the initiative. The programme brings together solution providers, systems integrators, service providers, technology partners, and cloud providers in a unified ecosystem focused on co-building agentic security operations centre solutions. Initial partners include GuidePoint Security, Ahead, DXC Technology, and AWS. The launch follows strong partner momentum, with 7AI reporting 6.5x channel pipeline expansion over three quarters and partners now originating nearly 45% of pipeline. The company's AI agents have processed more than 7 million investigations across enterprise environments. Kilpatrick joins from Cribl, where he led global partner growth across data and security markets.

7AI integrates agentic AI SOC with AWS Security Hub Extended plan

7AI announced its Agentic AI SOC has integrated with the Extended plan in AWS Security Hub, allowing enterprises to deploy AI-driven security operations through a single-vendor experience with consolidated billing and support. The platform addresses alert overload by automating security workflows including investigation, response, detection optimisation and threat hunting. In production environments, 7AI has processed over 3.8 million alerts, completed more than 945,000 investigations, and achieved 95–99% noise reduction whilst creating over 472,000 hours of analyst capacity. The integration enables 7AI to automatically correlate data from AWS services like GuardDuty and CloudTrail, generating investigation packages within minutes and executing policy-driven remediation actions. The Extended plan for AWS Security Hub is available immediately in all commercial AWS Regions.
